i'm all out of ideas to choose from. and i dont have any new books to read. i'm already bored to death here in my house. i wanted something new that i'll be reading. but i'm a gothic novel reader. so please? help me find my new addiction!

I do not know if you have read them already, but I am a big fan of Anne Rice

Have you read the Vampire Chronicles ?

Read in this order

    Interview with the Vampire (1976)
    The Vampire Lestat (1985)
The Queen of the Damned (1988)
The Tale of the Body Thief (1992)
    Memnoch the Devil (1995)
    The Vampire Armand (1998)
    Merrick (2000)
    Blood and Gold (2001)
    Blackwood Farm (2002)
    Blood Canticle (2003)
What do you want, you moon-faced assassin of joy?

We walk in the dark places no others will enter. We stand on the bridge and no-one may pass. We live for the One, we die for the One

I fully sugggest the midnighter's trilogy, it's not exactly gothic but it's close enough!
I have multiple personalities, one is a were-Sheepenguin, one is a fruit vampire, one likes to imagine cruel and unusal totures, that one's name is Bob the VI.

baa.

I have to second both the Anne Rice books, and the Midnighters Trilogy. They are very good books. On top of those, I recommend "The Damnation Game" by Clive Barker, "Godslayer"(there are two series by this name, by different authors, both are very good). Also, the obvious Stephen King - Dark Tower was awesome! However, if you're going to read King, you MUST go in chronological order of publication. You see, he wove each and every one of his stories together, with the Dark Tower series as the axle they all grind on.

If you're into intellectual reading, anything by Michio Kaku is good, as well as "Il Principe(The Prince)" by Niccolo Macchiavelli, "Republic" by Plato, and "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu.

I can also point you in the direction of the Word Weavers group, a bunch of unknown authors who contribute works to publish and get their names out there. I contribute to them from time to time, and I have read many of the author's works in the anthologies. They're all pretty good.

Also, pretty much anything by Marion Zimmer Bradley. Don't let the movie "Mists of Avalon" fool you, she's a much better author than they lead you to believe.

If I think of any others, I'll add them of course.

I have a book if u like a little romance. It's called Dead End Dating and yes it is a vampire story.
Insanity is a fun state of mind. I can amuse myself and have my friends wanting to get me a straight jacket and a padded room.
