2. No bodies have ever been found. When a large aquatic creature dies, gases from decomposition often bring it to the surface. The remains of sharks, whales and giant squids are often found floating or washed up on beaches. In an area as small and confined as a lake, the body of a large lake monster would certainly be visible. Since many of these lakes are in regions that have been inhabited for centuries, the remains of lake monsters should be commonplace.
I've heard a nasty rumor that the Loch Ness Monster is (was) actually an elephant from a traveling circus that a P.T. Barnum type fellow would take to the lake and let it swim around in an effort to drum up business. They have sonared the whole loch and found nothing and as much as I'd like to think that something like this could exist it is nearly impossible at this point. How would it reproduce? It would have to have a group of breeding adults and eventually they would have a polluted gene pool and would die out. Sorry folk, I just can't believe that they still existZRY
I just saw something on the Histroy Channel where people looked at the two ways out of the Loch. They said it would be impossible for them to get out of the loch into the ocean without being noticed...
this is a clip from the movie- incident at loch ness (I thinks that's the name of it) I saw it on HBO last month. It's a movie that's supposed to have a "documentary" feel to it.
