if it's not, can you identify what it is?

I don't think that's a chupacabra, aren't they more land based?  As for what that is or meant to be I can't quite say.

That does not look real, if it is, I'm never swimming in the ocean again!! That is not a chupa (assuming they exist).

Chupacabra are land based.  Some accounts say that they are quadrupeds, and some say bipeds, so I think the current train of thought is that they kind of do both (like a bear).  Most accounts I've read say that they are gray and hairless, although sparsely-haired black and brown ones have been reported in the past.  The common feature seems to be location: central America spreading into the southwest US.

That looks like some kind of crazy looking angler-fish.  Actually it looks like a really well-crafted puppet...  I can't see how something with that physique could survive.

*<:) Yeah, all the pics available kinda do look rather like latex and rubber don't they?!

Though, there very well might be something like the real goat suckin Chupacabra out there running around in the darkness of the bush..

Or equally as troubling, that toothy bastard posted by Crabbygal.. If not now, they once were.. And even bigger and more ferocious... <^>

Have you guys seriousily never seen this thing on e-bay? This was put on auction a while back and the guy CLAIMED that it washed up on shore, but later told the guys there that he made it, though I admit that he did a good job of makeing it at that! %*)

Yeah, fooled me when I first saw it too...
And if you dont already know, the chupacabra isnt a fish, its said to be a winged creature about 3 ft tall that kinda resemblles a bat without fur... Normally populating the regions around mexico and texas.
