 Now this is my theory, and i know people with like minds about the subject, anyone want to put there input?

I do believe the beast is some type of plesiosaur but I fear it may be too late to find out for I feel like it has lived the extent of its life and has died, most likely from filthy human pollution. Such an ancient creature was never designed to resist our poisons. There have been others rumored to be around the world and several dragged up from the sea, so there may be hope to find a living one yet.

I recently read some "serious" discussion somewhere as to whether "Nessie" (as a species) in Scotland has gone extinct as a result of global warming / climate change (since long-term measurements suggest the average water temperature in the lake or loch has been increasing). However, that would seem an unlikely cause, since if these are survivors of the dinosaur era, they would have already experienced (and survived) extreme differences over hundreds of thousands of years with all the "ice ages" and "tropical ages" that have been experienced in the past (and between which we are located at the present).

It is my belief that our old friend nessie has finally kicked the bucket. Sightings have almost dropped off the face of the earth in the past 10 years or so and I doubt its due to global warming but more to do with time. Nothing lives forever my friends and time got the better of old nessie. They may or may not find the corpse because the bottom of that lake is almost like quicksand and may very well swallow it whole. You will be missed old friend

the only problem with nessie being a pleisiosaurus is that there is not enough fish in that lake for it to eat and be substain. Also the whole age thing. I do believe that maybe at one time that it might have lived there and died there but I don't if its still alive.

We only assume it had a lerge appetite. Whales live off of microscopic organisms. Plus after being in that lake for millions of years it probally reduced in size to be able to survive. Reptiles only grow as big as their environment will allow them to and still be able to thrive. I do think there has been an entire species of lake dwelling plesiosaurs well, maybe a similar creature since the recently found they couldn't supprot their heads out of the water that far, but increased human activity, pollution, ect have probally killed them off. The last (nessie of her kids maybe) probally just recently passed away hence the lack of sightings. Or 1000's of people over hundreds of years  could just be crazy, who knows

they couldn't support their heads very far meaning that they just glided their heads in the water never coming out of the water... It also shows us that they could reach farther so that they could more easily grab things in the water. The main evidence that they ate bigger things was that their teeth show that they are carnivors. plus around that time everything was bigger including fish and insects so.... it could have munched down on bigger sea critters.

 I didn't realize anyone had ever found Nessie remains. Do you happen to remember where you saw this, Rave?

 But I just read the post about Russians find a strange creature.... Could this be connected to Nessie ancestraly speaking??

Its very possible though Nessie, as I mentioned, was probally alot smaller due to her lake habitat. The remains that were found were proven to be a hoax if its the same incident you are referring to. Someone jacked some pleisiosaur fossils on display nearby and planted them apparently

ya thats my theorie to, nessie is some type of plesior and is know dead due to old age, pollution in scotland is i think but if you watch monster quest they found somthin that looks like a corpse shaped like a plesiosaur and i wrote corpse not fossil anyway nesssie WAS a prehestoric reptile that died from old age. but i also think that there was just one not a comunity

Yes I agree. There was and may still be a community, but, who knows? But I do like Kadesh's theory that alot of the latest sightings are her ghost, feeding off the energy it creates with a sighting

 Unfortunately, it appears to be trash or something caught in the current. I'm amazed that people immediately assume they've seen something simply because that's where they're supposed to see it. lol.
