Cadborosorous sighting in Cadboro Bay , Victoria , BC.
« on: July 17, 2008, 07:51:23 PM »
A few summers ago a group of friends and i went out to Cadboro beach to go try our luck fishing ...it was about early evening when the sun was about to set . There was an old man strolling around and he goes to me look out there  you see something keep rising to the surface...maybe it a school of porpoises i might add but it looked like 3 distinct humps with dorsals . it looked very long and black like a dragon...we all watched this for at least close to 1/2 and hour ..we were pretty amazed at the sight ...so next time your in Cadboro bay bring an infra red camera so you can capture the phenomena for real !

I did a general search online and came across a video clip... it looks like a fake to me. But I'm not saying what you saw was fake.. just that vid.

Im sick and tired of all those videos of something, always shivering like they are drunk or something like that. Someone would think that if you go with an intention to make a video proof you can take a camera stative or at least lean on a tree to make it right...

Yeah... they always seem to be on a boat that's trying to sail through a hurricane.  *<:)

You two can laugh all you want, but have you ever tried plain ole' mundane wildlife photography and video? It's hard as hell. You don't have time to check stuff like angles and your finger over the lense. It's "either shoot what I can and hope for a good photo/video or be overly careful and not get anything at all".

Go check the "Pictures taken from my roof" topic, and you will see that I can take proper pictures, even without a telescope.....

Yeah, I have. When I went to Hawaii last year, we were on the boat watching whales. And we not only got great pix... we got great video. And great googly moogly... it was awesome.

Congratulations, you managed to take a good picture of something that wasn't just going to run off at a moments notice.

Congratulations, you managed to get good footage and pics of some of the slowest creatures on the planet. You must be so proud.
