I've been thinking about this alot lately. I have had an encounter with a big foot back when I lived in Michigan. Now I would like to know other people take on this.

If I remember correctly there's another name for otherkin who claim to physically shift into their animal/creature (as most deem it impossible).  I can't recall the term at the moment, but the sheer size of bigfoot makes me think that it's something else entirely.  Of course, I don't now much about 'im.

I wasn't really thinking shifting though. I was thinking actually being half man half ape. I do know that Sasquatch play drums and flutes, I use to hear them in the woods, and theres an old native american story that they have full colonies.

Hm...honestly I think that'd just be a half-breed rather than otherkin.  Otherkin as far as I know don't show outward signs of being part animal.  Otherwise there would be more people just accepting that they exist!

I'm not sure what "ape" would be the other half, though...I mean humans themselves are already related to primates.

Vendoh

Well perhaps we do have to think of it as the missing link. I don't know. what do you think?

Some people believe the Wendigo to be otherkin, although when you turn into one there is no changing back. And people think the Wendigo is bigfoot which I highly doubt. There's just my two cents.

Vendoh

Yeah I never really thought that either. Most bigfoot sightings are them running a way, and never being aggresive. To that point I almost think they want to not be found.

I can honestly say I find it insulting that you would correlate Sasquatch with an otherkin.

otherkin are, at best, the result of a human having a connection with an animal or legendary figure, and at worst the result of childish escapist fantasies.
The Sasquatch is a figure of legend reaching back in some form or another to prehistory, and some form of wild man is present in nearly all cultural beliefs.

There are also many different types of Sasquatches encountered. Some display human or above-human intelligence, while others are little more than animals, and some reports even describe Sasquatches as having strange supernatural abilities, as well as a connection with other unexplained phenomena, usually strange lights, sightings of other cryptids, Greys, and even Men in Black in some cases.

To even entertain the notion that Bigfoot, a figure with such an impressive repertoire of paranormal ability and acclaim, is somehow related to a phenomena that is entirely human, is the height of ignorance
