Well, for the last week, my wolf side has been quite dormant. I haven't craved meat, howling, nor anything wolfish. Do any of you have times like this and if so, when? :|
Insanity is a fun state of mind. I can amuse myself and have my friends wanting to get me a straight jacket and a padded room.

Yo, that's a cool red bar.  So what are we talking about anyway?

Let's see...

Oh, ok then.  Well, what I would tell you (and what you'd hear on typical therian forum) is that sometimes theriotypes just stop being so dominant.  Maybe it's just not a time when you notice it, or maybe, and most important to consider: maybe it was never there at all.  If you're a teenager, what you thought was some "inner wolf" might have just been hormones and such.  You might take a step back and reexamine yourself.  If you are a therian, it'll come back to you, if not, you might as well not waste your time with it.

I was going to say about the same, cept I my thought would be totem.  I wonder exactly how close a totem and therian concepts are.  Great!  Thanks Sherlawk, I was starting my leave today and was going to enjoy some well deserved R&R, Now I'm going to have to hit the research books, and do some interveiws.  *Sigh* the art of learning never takes any time off does it.

There is another world inside of me that you may never see and part of me is fighting this....yet part of me is gone.

Well see, this is actually something that gets a good deal of attention within the therian community.  You see, totems can show themselves in a similar way to therianthropy, with the feelings and traits brought on by a connection to that animal.  That's where a common mistake between the two comes from.  Totemism and Therianthropy have one HUGE difference though: Totems are an external sort of spirit guide which leads and teaches you, while Theriotypes are an internal component to one's self and cannot truly be separated.

Nope.  We don't carry content in our posts.

Yeah, that's usually the best, these things work themselves out in your mind with time, just don't be afraid to accept the answer that you get...

This is excellent, sage advice.  Accept what is, not what you wish it to be.

It's common advice.  I'm doing it myself right now, trying to pull back from the communities to rethink and refresh... (that's why my activity in this section is probably going to go down for a while...)

Unfortunately it's the common advice that most commonly gets ignored.
