Title: Eyeless pig girl
Post by: Asmodai on September 18, 2009, 12:07:13 PM
So there is a "thing" that constantly shows up in my dreams. Makes no attempts to harm me or the things in my dreams, doesn't speak, and doesn't interact other then stare at me.

"Thing" resembles a small girl between 7-9 years, pale skin, wears a girlie dress that looks very worn and old, she has black sockets for eyes, a pig nose, and no facial expression. She has been in several different dream settings. Whether I'm in the dream or I'm watching the dream I see her and she stares at me. Just stares and follows but keeps a distance.

Any ideas?

Try treating it as a VERY REAL visitor to your dreaming. Dreaming is just the easiest place for you to meet right now.

The fact that it has maintained its apperance consistantly in several otherwise unrelated dreams says it definitely wants you to be aware of its presence.

If it appears again try conversing with it and ask it what it REALLY is, and what it REALLY wants.

I agree with oldbill. If it keeps showing up in dreams that aren't related, there's got to be a reason.

Thank you for the advice. I will try speaking with her. I have tried calling out to her on few occasions but she did not respond and stayed at a distance. However my attempts were halfhearted at the most so maybe I should try a more conversational approach.

I would echo OB1's advice, and add my own: Be careful. Always be wary of anything that seeks you out in such a manner until you are absolutely certain of its intent.

Ok its starting to add up a bit more now.

If you have already noticed it and half heartedly tried to make contact it explains the constant consistant image it had in your dreams. It also explains the neutral emotional content associated with it.

Normally when these things initially appear they provoke strong emotional responses from us via controlling their appearance in our dream scenarios.
When we get past that level of communication then they  take on a more consistant form, like you have now.  This is actually the next stage of communication, more like a proper interest it has taken in you.

How curious can you be about what it really is?

Try using your curiosity about it to entice it into a closer encounter. Emotion and awareness are the keys things to it being curious about you.

Oh what fun you might be about to have!!!!!

I just wish I really knew what it was interested in. Of course I have not been very nice. My halfhearted attempts consisted of "what do you want?" no response "well don't get in my way and don't bother me"

I admit I was a brat to it.

Does it make sense to say it seems like its waiting for something? That is what I sense from it. It's watching in in a waiting way.

Yes it is waiting.

Its waiting for to see if you will actually find enough about you to go further and develop your dreaming awareness so you can meet it properly.

Right now you are in the balance.  You could very easily just fall asleep again after having woken up just enough to see it.

You said that you asked it 'not to bother you'. Well its done just that so far. Normally people dont have enough about them to say that sort of thing to them. It has obliged you by following your wishes.

I admit... I'm also just a tad jealous, just like OB1 here. Please, keep us apprised of your progress...

Have you ever tried approaching it? (Maybe to show your interest.) But if you try that, follow Moloch's advice and be careful; you never know...

I will try to dream as lucidly as I can tonight. I may have no luck though since I will be drinking tonight and that makes lucid dreaming difficult. I just wish I knew where it came from. It's appearance is what could be described as creepy

So last night I didn't see her the whole night until almost the end of my dreaming. I looked at her for a long time. She just looked right back at me and sat down on the ground. I tried walking towards her but I woke up. Part of me thinks I shouldn't do anything. I mean this girl/thing has been popping in and out of my dreams for months now. Maybe there is a meaning behind her visits that I have to find out on my own not necessarily from her. Is there anything special about eye less pig people? I know some things in dreams have meanings like if you are falling or if you see a certain type of animal. Maybe this is the same kind of thing.

Are you sure she doesn't have eyes? Could it be that they're just opaque?

Yes there is a metaphorical meaning to all this. There is also a very real energetic reality happening right before you.

Asking about the meaning is a bit like asking the surgeon about how to get better just as he has the knife out. Dont miss the important stuff happening right under your upturned nose!

However since you ask, the meaning of the dream is wrapped up on the image this thing is presenting to you. If i had to guess i would say that it is kind of a pun on your own attractiveness, with the pigs nose and all. I mean do you have issues with the way your nose looks? How attractive do you actually believe you are underneath? Do you actually think you are less than wonderful? Those are some quick guesses. as to the meaning.
The actual meaning of its appearance is wrapped up in its future relationship with you. It knows what that is. You and I do not. Not just yet anyway. The meaning kinda depends on how and what you do with it from here.

Ok the eye thing is because you are starting to see this thing properly for what it really is. When you focus on its eyes it cannot replicate human eyes because of certain energetic constraints put on it. So you see something else instead. BTW this fact confirms to me exactly what is going on here. Having said that my words and explanations of it would mean absolutely nothing to you at this point. This is something that can only really be explained by experience. That is how knowledge works at this level. Its not intellectual, its experiential at the level of your energy.

Have you actually accepted that this is a very real being that keeps turning up in your dreaming awareness?
Do you REALLY understand this yet?

OB1 is right. However, coming from my mind, and having gotten to know you a bit, I think it goes even deeper than his guesses hint. Keep dreaming. The answers will be revealed to you there, but will not be understood unless you are wide awake.

Have a look at a thread i started here on the dreaming board   dream entities - a personal view

I wrote this back in Feb and posted it up  because a lot of the questions that appear here on the dreaming board are related to this.

This was just a general article about what this eyeless pig girl might actually be.

(Forget the 'might' it sure as hell is ok?)

Maybe i should post up the next part soon, all about what can happen next.

I read your Dream entities post OB1 and I found it very enlightening. I never considered some of those things. I supposed I just feel like my dream realm is mine and I can be selfish and I don't like to share it  :-)
However if sharing it will bring upon new horizons of knowledge then I would be willing.

I suppose it could be a pun of my appearance, but I don't think about my appearance that much. And yes I think my nose is a little big but I would look funny with a small one  :-)

Underneath I feel like an attractive person. I was just born with a good bone structure. If I was alive 200 years ago I would have been considered hideous. There are benefits to my outer appearance but they are not vital to my existence. I have often associated pigs with evil though (Bible stories from youth Matthew Chapter 8). So that was my first thought was that this must be something bad and if you have seen or read The Shining there is rarely anything good about a spooky little girl. So all those things could make up what I am seeing or why I'm seeing it that way. Or maybe this is a form it has chosen for a different reason unrelated to me.

I have been brushing it off and that may have set me back. I will persue. I will try searching her out and dreaming as lucidly as I can. Maybe if I ask questions other then "why are you here" it might be better. Or maybe if I approach it and it reappears some other place it might mean I need to follow. It may not think I'm ready. Maybe I need to meditate more before sleeping for induce lucid dreaming through meditation.
