I wonder why there are so fewer women killers than there are men?? Any insight?

Maybe there aren't fewer women killers.  Maybe women are smarter about getting away with it?

With todays advances in the crime field? I don't thinks so. I think that some women can get away with things that men can't.
Life is like the original fairytales of Europe, depressing and gory.

How very true! Those darn advances in the crime field are impeeding every criminally minded person out there. Both male and female!

Actually I was joking.

Maybe there are more male serial killers than female - I don't know.

Laws can differ from country to country, and even judges differ on how they handle cases in the same country.

DV has mentioned the courts in the United Kingdom leaning in favor to the mother over custody issues. It was quite the opposite for me here in the United States.  I wound up with a judge who was reputed to give the fathers custody in spite of a history of marijuana abuse ("it's a lifestyle choice"), extreme neglect ("you (the mother) didn't mind it when you lived with him.") and verbal abuse (in the courtroom, the judge ignored everything my husband had done to hurt me and the children.)

Several years ago in Kentucky there was a large group of women on death row who had killed their husbands in self defense.  After researching Social Service and police records and seeing the history of abuse, our Governor of the state pardoned them all.

It's simply a crap shoot.

I knew someone whose mom after getting whipped on one night took a 22 and a pillow to her hubands head. She got off scott free. I never could look at that family the same way.

I don't know about the gender percentage as far as serial killers are concerned. What can be stated for sure is that female are the most likely to be victims.

That strikes so weird to me. In Italy it's very hard for a father to get custody, extremely hard. But it has to be said out loud that they don't look after their babies as much as their European counterparts.
Our men are always their mother's children. A curse  :-D

no matter what the sex of an individual the ability to do the unmentionable is within each
