Well I'm sure just by the title you know exactly who I am talking about our old, old friend Cthulhu. Although this mythical God is believed to be completely fictional yet it has popped up in various texts throughout the ages including the first great civilization of Sumeria. Now could it be real? Yes, I say this confidently because if you think about it while in dream state you are theoretically linked with all consciousness and Cthulhu can Manipulate dreams. So my simplest conclusion would be subliminal messages while asleep. The theory of a super entity returning and destroying all to recreate utopia is worldwide accepted in almost all religion. The problem is the Hollywood spice, truth is often boring in reality so you must twist things to keep people interested. My guess is that when he went to right this book he changed a lot of details to be more captivating. The truth is Cthulhu was good and did all he did to keep utopia and there wasn't a whole lot of action with a few exceptions so now you may know what I mean by truth is boring. But I'm gonna stop so you can update me with your opinions and theories.

So that's for Cthulhu, but what of, say, Shub Niggurath, Nyarlathotep, Azathoth, Yig, Yog Sothoth, and others?

The point im tryiong to make is things like robinhood, story of troy and others were regarded as fiction until someone realised something and worked endlessly to find proof of it in reality and guess what it led to finds like the walled city of troy and robin's grave

Yes, but then you will need further evidence to prove the rest of it. I'm not arguing with you, I've been on the path you speak of during my "off season"
