Well, if you don't consider his abduction of a helpless young goddess like Persephone to  be a dark and horrific act, than I suppose you could consider Hades to be one of your tamer deities.   Perhaps  one of the few Olympians capable of rivalling Ares when it comes to sheer wrath was none other than the virgin Artemis. She was quick to destroy any mortal unfortunate enough to arouse her infamous anger as the tragic tale of Acateon so clearly demonstrates.
On a side note, I apologise for having been away for so long. My computer was non-functional for the past week or so, thereby effectively preventing me from curbing Raziel's mischief.    Truly, he is as impish as the deity that he seeks to emulate.

Don't blame the monkey king for my monkeyshines. Blame the concept of boredom and who ever created it. Any one else wanna swap? Not with me of course, I'm no good at being firm calm and lucidly calm.

Maybe someone can swap with momo.... but that is for another thread.

Now back to Hades.

The mythos behind Persephone's abduction is due to the actions of another mischievous godling. Eros who some say ordered by his mother to bring the arrogant cold lord of the dead low, shot the dark god with his arrow. the poor maiden was merely a victim of a prank.... albeit a long lasting one.

This all stemmed because of an argument. which is superior.... love?....... or death.

The lesson: Spread the love now ya hear?

The closer you get to light, the greater your shadow becomes.
But don't be afraid. And don't forget...
You hold the mightiest weapon of all.

I always associated myself with him until lately. Now, though, a person very close to me tells me I'm more like the god of wine and earthly pleasures - Dionisius, if I spelled that correctly.

Yes, hades is more gloomy-like you, but he's also really jealous of his brothers..he think's he got shafted in the deal. Are you a bitter, jealous type of guy?
"What the hell was that?"

Devinoir

Nah, not a bit. I was in a way, but currently I'm pretty satisfied with my life.

Actually I see Raziel as more of a Dionisius.

Which mythology does he hail from and what are his specific attributes, oni? And what are those qualities which you belief that you share with this particular deity? I apologise in advance if the second part of my enquiry is too intrusive, but as the caption below my avatar declares, I am merely curious.

Sumerian, I believe. His qualities are numerous, one of those that are well rounded you know. There is just a pull to him.

Raz is nothing like Dionisius. He would be more like.. uh.. Panos, the half-man, half-goat. Or some Satyr.
