twisted view on Wicca

Yea this site might have a lot of information but do you have any real witches editing this? Lammas occurs on Aug.1 and runs till the 2. And we don't suckle our familiars to our breast at all. We can't fly nor do we try to. And our Sabbats can take place any where some covens might like ruins but most happen in the privacy of our homes. We don't believe in a devil or Hell therefore we don't make pacts with the devil or anything of the sort. The dolls you refered to in the Tools section are typically called Poppets and aren't related to Voodoo thats a different pratice altogether. They aren't used for illness and murder either nor do we use them for love spells because we think taking someone's will and bending it is wrong. Active research you claim? If you're going to take a site and run it over the XVIII and XIXth centuries then also inculde information about what really goes on because Witches have and already are getting a bad rap without all of this.

I know Wicca and I am sorry that you criticize before you read.

We only deal with witchcraft here but to please your "brothers and sisters", I have included some of their writings about Wicca, which, again is of absolutely no interest for me. Remain in light.

Peece,

i do not agree with what she said.
im a wiccan myself, and, i find your site very interesting. i dont mind not many information is added about wiccans and witches cause this site mostly talks about the dark creatures.

you did a great job with this site.
keep doing this.

A generation that does not its own history, has no future ... and no past!

I'm not here to offend any body first off.
But people have to keep in mind that Wicca is not the only sort of witchcraft that exsist. Many people have diiferent beliefs and many people practice witchcraft by different rules. If any one has heard of robert buckland. he has quoted this himself.  Many people, same purpose with different cultrues but they all finish in the same place.

There is white, black, green and red magick, you have voodoo, santeria and gypsy magick. They don't all have the same origin as we all know but there is one thing that they all have in common. At one point or another the have tried to be killed by people that were afraid of what they don't  understand. And for alot of witches it's always good to focus and remeber that because look where witches are now. You are free to practice your religion with out being chased around. The fight those witches went through and their accomplishment should be the main focus. All witches should at least be a little grateful of the fact that someone would create a website in interest of witch history .

At least that's how I feel

The very heart of the issues is that wiccans call themselves witches and this let room for discussion.

I don't subscribe necessarily to all that folklore about witchcraft but people have to know that men and women are killed today because they are suspected to indulge in black magic .

Do witches summon demons to help them gain knowledge, or kill someone who has wronged them?

Wicca has increasingly become it's own little popular thing over the years, as opposed to strict witchcraft, and not always so specific to the use of magic but often including younger peoples needs for a real life touch of Buffy or Harry Potter, especially these days. This has caused a sort of rift between younger and older witches, whereby the younger wicca crowd now seems to express belief that it's the only game in town. (As an older witch, I really must laugh at that one.)
At the same time, there are other sects and other magic-users appering besides traditionally-conceived ones. (See Techno-mages and Cyber-Druids, as well as varying sects of Paganism or Ceremonial magic, the O.T.O, the Golden Dawn, the CoS, the Temple of Set, and etc.)
As well, yes, there are and always have been other witches besides the celto-british/neo-Gardnerian wiccan-descended ones. There are currently witches in Africa, France, Germany, Russia, Asia, Italy, and so on, who do not practice what is collectively called Wicca, but instead have other social-cultural ties to magical thinking and use that Americans would not recognize. Even here in America, there are people practicing Afro-Caribbean based systems like Ifa, Yoruba, and plain old VooDoo, and yes, they rely on both religion and magic both, and are just as valid in their practices as Wiccans feel themselves to be in theirs.
There are also dark witches in America, that is, witches (or other magic-users as well) who do not resonate with the 'peace, love, and vegetarianism' view. They might do any of a number of things, including embrace vampirism, follow gods/desses of Death or other Cthonic power, or use Summoning/Evocation sorts of practices to call on and command various beings, and the Wiccan Rede is not their contract with whatever powers they use.
I have also seen rogue attitudes amongst modern wiccans. That is, some might talk the Rede, but do something else. (In other words, they're not really trying to live up to their supposed cause and are willing to harm or hurt people in their wake if it suits them.) Of these people I can only say that I think they should find something else to practice, since it's a poor and foolish thing to tell one's gods that they harm none when in fact they do so regularly.
If any wiccan doesn't like the fact that every person in the world doesn't have the exact wording or info about them that they want (or none at all), they should consider that there are people throughout the world who are misrepresented and misused constantly. If anyone doubts this they should talk to a few Native American tribal leaders about Native American history. It's a huge example.
Hence, it's primarily up to wiccans themselves to make sure they are self-representing and properly, while not thinking of it as everyone else's constant responsibility. In other words:
GO MAKE YOUR OWN WICCAN WEBSITE.
Carpe Noctem.

Summon demons?! No, of course not! Most Witches are good and possibly would NEVER turn on the Wiccan Rede! Seriously...I'm 11 and I know better that that. BUT, my father, (was also a witch) said that Witches control a demon...? Don't know what that means...
Earth is my body,
Water is my blood,
Air is my breathe,
Fire is my soul.

I shine in the eyes of the Lord and Lady...

I've seen too many self-proclaimed wiccans and witches who are eager to cry of opression. It seems many adopt the mask of this psuedo-lifestyle in hopes that others will look down on them as a minority and pay them a little extra attention. All in all, it's a sad thing. So you're a witch, great. I don't think there is anything negative about your religion or any other on this site. If there was, I would have already dealt some swift oratory ass-kickings to those who were perpetuating it.

If you know that you are on the right path, there is no reason for you to bother with the ignorance of others. If you are on a path of guild, then you are only persecuting yourself. What I'm trying to say, in a nutshell, is:

If you have something useful to share, feel free to do so. If you have a relevant question, ask away. Otherwise, please cease this incessant prattle. You're giving all those other vegan, neo-hippy hairy-chested lumberjack women a bad name.

From what I have heard about wiccans, they enjoy indulging in sex activities and a lot of people join their ranks just for that reason. It seems to me very close to the infamous raelians.

I do prefer the old sabbaths where you could have sex with the devil and his succubes .....
