SPOOKY TRUTH: TV'S MOST HAUNTED CON EXPOSED

THE TV show that has spooked millions with its footage of hauntings and poltergeists is today exposed as a fake - by one its own stars.

Resident parapsychologist Dr Ciaran O'Keeffe has sensationally lifted the lid on the ghosthunting series, Most Haunted ... and claims that the public are being deceived by "showmanship and dramatics."

He accuses the show's medium Derek Acorah of hoodwinking viewers by pretending to communicate with spirits and obtaining information about locations prior to filming.

The Mirror has also obtained unedited footage which appears to show presenter Yvette Fielding and her husband faking 'paranormal' occurrences such as ghostly bumps and knocks.

Most Haunted has quickly achieved cult status since it was launched in 2002 and is LivingTV's most successful programme......

Yes, Most Haunted has earned somewhat of a cult status in the States as well.  In addition, Derek's new show, Haunted Towns (which never fails to have a least one possession attack), has also made its premiere.

I never did trust the man as a medium (often made accurate count downs as to when he would be possessed...hmm, I smell a new drinking game...).  I've spent a fair portion of my life in a town of mediums and frequently seen relatives possessed.  In fact, I remember quite easily one day going to my brother somewhat calmly and saying "Yeah...um sorry to bother you but mom's possessed again," though my brother wasn't quite as used to that sort of thing.

I also take acting lessons and know acting when I see it.  The man uses a standard freeze-to-pop transition for his character changes.  It's an easy to do transition and more importantly it is easy for all audiences to understand when done properly.  He also seems to use the same character types.  The same angry man with the same loud, coarse, and angry voice or the same abused and scared woman all sharing the same Laban Efforts.
