Title: Side effects on eating habbits.
Post by: Petling on August 08, 2008, 11:57:49 PM
I didn't really know where to post this, so I decided to put it here. :-P

I have bizarre eating habits. & I don't mean a good, bloody, rare steak. I mean all foods. So I was wondering if maybe this is a side effect of some sort? :?

1: I like spaghetti sauce in my mac & cheese.
2: If there is no soy sauce, I like ketchup in my rice.
3: I have no problem eating the same food for a week.
4: I am oddly picky, no spicy food, except salsa & chips.
5: Only certain kinds of vegetables.
6: I am addicted to lasagna, even the type with broccoli.

& these are only the ones off the top of my head. :?

Well, there are some things poisonous to a dog, so if you're a lycanthrope then I suppose some of these strange eating habits could be related.
I know I prefer meat to be really rare, even raw sometimes. And the fresher, the better.

1. i need to eat red meat at least once a week or else, i go weak.
2. i like all kinds of pasta, pizza, burgers and sandwiches
3. i'm very picky on my veggies.
4. i usually eat more meat than veggies and the more red meat, the better.

...........so there......

Hey Vince_03, all of that can be explained by the fact that red meat is necessary in the human diet, and if you don't eat enough of it, you suffer withdrawl symptoms, including cravings and feeling weak. It's necessary, but we're also addicted to it.
Like an awesome drug that we die without.

I can go fore ever without meat. I can survive off of Mac & Cheese, spaghetti, & cheese sandwiches for a whole month.

I do get an odd craving for peanut butter sometimes, the protein, you know. But it comes randomly, whether I've eaten meat recently, or not. :?

My eating habits... Well...

I prefer to eat a lot of seafood.  I could live off of sea critters if I had to.

My family itself is on a diet that doesn't have much red meat in it (I don't need the diet, but the rest of my family does).  We do have some venison that we eat every now and again, and most of the hamburger stuff we eat is actually turkey.

Um... I know when I move out soon my diet will probably change a bunch, but that's what it is.  I'm a weakling that has a high metabolism and has a hard time controlling her body temperature.

I have a milk allergy so I don't eat many dairy products.  I don't eat much sweets either.  If I do it's fruits or something like that, and the occasional dark chocolate.

I do get an odd craving for peanut butter sometimes, the protein, you know. But it comes randomly, whether I've eaten meat recently, or not. :?

I do too, lol.  I especially like the crunchy peanut butter!  *crunch munch*

And the lasagna thing reminds me of Garfield ^__^

Oh, I love Garfield. Sometimes I just make a plain peanut butter sandwich, no jelly or anything else. Then I eat it with a bowl of oatmeal. :-D

Is it possible for a human to live a healthy life should  red meat be completely absent in one's diet?  I know that in the case of canines, such deprivation can be extremely dangerous. My dog actually developed anemia as a result of my family's foolish decision to replace the mutton in his diet with fish. Fortunately, a solid round of iron suplements  was able to restore him gradually to full vitality.

Not................... eat.......................................... meat??? ....... No cow???? No steak????? ARE YOU PEOPLE INSANE??!! You touch the cow on my plate and you'll draw back a bloody stump. And if you even THINK about putting A1 on my food... I'll gnaw your arm off and beat you with it!! :gun: Steak is perfect if seasoned correctly. Just the juice from a rare steak... omg..... that first bite.... when you sink your teeth in.... juice runs over your tongue....... orgasmic. :-fly)

Humans can, blow_fly. IF done properly, cuz we're omnivores. Vegetarians do it quite successfully, but Vegans are idiots, they destroy their own body.

The trick is to find an alternate source of the ingredients your body gets from red meat. Like eggs, peanut butter, supplements, & so forth.

Someone make Petling stop the blasphemy!! My ears are melting! wait... I mean.. I'm burning! er....... yeah. Seriously though... No red meat? I would be one freaking unhappy kitty!!!!! One you'd better not get close to or I'll bite you just to get my steak. I don't eat veggies at all. Gag. Gross. Again.. I'd really rather chew off Moloch's toenails.

I like my veggies.  I think I have a well-rounded diet  :-)

I also take my vitamins.  Now I need to take my calcium chew tablets to ensure I get the calcium I need, then I'm all set.

We used to have these huge calcium chewable tablets for the goats on our farm. I loved to eat those things, they tasted like candy.

I'm not sure if it's entirely safe for humans to eat supplements designed for animals..
Title: Re: Side effects on eating habbits.

I don't remember what they tasted like, too long ago. I just remember how I'd steal handfuls of them, then hide & stuff my face.

Mine were definitely meant for humans so I'm okay.

And I think the most that would happen would be that the body just get rid of the extra calcium if the animal tablets are portioned differently.  I guess as long as they weren't mixed with medicines for the animals it would be fine.

Then again, I could be wrong.
Title: Re: Side effects on eating habbits.
Post by: Petling on August 10, 2008, 08:13:24 PM
They were just plain calcium. I stopped liking them after I finished my growth spurt though, so I guess my body just needed them.

Post by: blow_fly on August 10, 2008, 08:16:02 PM
Ahh. That makes sense. Interesting isn't it, how our bodies are actually able to persuade us to make the right choice in some cases?
Title: Re: Side effects on eating habbits.
Post by: Daemonin on August 10, 2008, 08:18:08 PM
Yeah.  I learned that you usually have cravings because those foods have the nutrients your body needs at that time or something similar to that.  Disclaimer: I could be wrong, so if someone reads this and says "I better eat that extra cake piece!" and gets sick or something, not my fault.

It's possible.  I don't know, I'm not a doctor  :-)  I couldn't be even if I wanted to be.  But it's possible

I have very severe allergies.. but I can eat all foods just fine. However, I also have asthma ... and because of that, I can't eat peas. For some reason, I choke on them. wth is that all about?????

No clue, but I love to occasionally eat those.

Wait, I think it's cuz when you have asthma your throat is swollen? Or something like that? My nephew had breathing problems when very young.

Your bronchial tubes swell during an attack... but normally, nothing is swollen. Unless you're really screwed up like I am and have severe allergic reactions to medications... then all sorts of fun things happen. I just know it's not all in my head because my dad has the same problem. It would be interesting to find out if my little brother has the same problem...

I used to be a vegetarian for two years until I discovered the side effects. One afternoon I was sitting in my living room starting to lean towards the sunlight.

It's just a joke, I've never been a vegetarian. However I did hire a vegetarian moving company once. They were too weak to lift anything. :D

i know this is an old post BUT i havent seen replies that satisfied me.

your strange eating habits can be a sign of "the change" we all go through it. it's when you change from "human" to either a werekin or werefolk. a werekin is when you have were DNA but can't transform and werefolk is when you have were DNA but can transform.

when i was going through "the change" i was eating weird stuff like bacon and yogurt mixed. spagetti and chedder cheese mixed. i started wanting more rare steaks andi was snacking constantly!
