Anyhow, Before I share anything new... in my last picture post, I showed you all a "Bird of Paradise" ...like, an actual bird. Well, it wasn't until I really got to look at it that I realized I could have found better, because it looks sortof fake. So? I went out and found TWO ( that's right, count'em!  ) TWO new pictures to show off of this oh-so-purrrty birdy...

Creepy Sea Spider






I Believe it's called a Pangolin... It's alot like an Armadillo ( Which I think is also sortof funny lookin' ) in that it's body is a hard casing, and it rolls up for protection... I want one.






Eeeeeeeee!  I WANTS ONE ... *ahem* sorry. It's a Marmoset... and fully grown it's basically no bigger than a hand... ( I see alot of pictures of them just sitting on fingers)
It's SO CUTE!!!   






Alright, so this here caterpillar can apparently kill you in something like, 15 hours or Less. The fuzzy lookin' stuff on it? Barbs, hundreds of them. It's called an Assassin or uhm, Lonomia... I might have the spelling wrong on that, but it's the only thing I could find results for in a search.

It's cause, even if someone finds and posts a picture of some strange or beautiful critter that you wanted to, find a different picture ( you know, different angle, color, whatev ) and I'm perfectly fine with that.
I know this topic started off just trying to find really funny looking creatures, but I've been finding so many beautiful ones that I want to share, too! So, go ahead there as well.

This is Megatron.




He's a rescue case; Has three legs, and a bunch of scarring on his shell.
I've had him for about 4yrs now, and he's one of the strangest pets I've ever owned...
First, He's Fast...
He has a personality...
He doesn't like it when anyone picks him up except me...
he gives me "kisses"
and noone has been able to identify him. ( If you think you can, lemme know. I'll post more pictures of him )
A friend of mine (studying herpetology) believes he's a hybrid, which makes more sense than anything else we've come up with Lol


Next, our kitten ( Baghere aka Littles**t!!! because of his Spazzzzzzteh kitteh moments at 4am ) has brown eyes, and gray ( you expect to see on an old or really dusty kitty ) on the underside of his tail.
and I can't get a good picture of him, no matter how hard I try.

So, the mystery behind my pretty Megatron has been solved, and I have many thanks for Countess on this one!

Megatron is a female Box Turtle. They are a fairly common species of turtle & don't tend to get very big. I say female because from the photos it looks as if the bottom shell is fairly flat as opposed to being curved inward.

Alright, it's been a couple weeks since I've messed with this.
I'm sure, at some point in your life, you have questioned the need for certain Creatures of Nature.
Maybe you've questioned the use of some Strange Feature?

Like me. I was going over the point of Walrus Tusks.
Stop! Before you go and research this or look it up... Think about it this way:

These guys are HUGE... and their Tusks are incredibly long.
What's the point of them?
Immediately, when I think of the Walrus I flash back to my childhood when the boys in school would stick straws up their nose or wedge them on their teeth. "Durrrrhurrrhurrr"
*facepalm*

Headrests. The Tusks are perfect for it. That's gotta be it!
"Ohhh... I'm tired of holding my fat head up, I think I'mma set it down."
( Of course, keep in mind, my vision of them is of this fat thing, not much bigger than me, but with teeth almost as long as I am tall )

No? Okay... what about... Tools? Tools for eating and chopping into stuff.
YES! They tilt their heads back, into a position that makes me question if they have spines... and CHOMP. "OmNomnomnom"

Alright. So here it is!



First, on a "Cow" or Female, the Tusks can get as long as Two Feet.
On a "Bull" or Male, they can get as long as FOUR feet.
And, the whole point behind having these Tusks, is all about Showmanship. That's it.
The Longer the Tooth, the More Important/Higher Ranked the Walrus is.
They use these things for Mating season fights, as well.



Hey, so what do they eat then? The Tusks would obviously get in the way, right?
Well... I imagine Finger foods.
