Alright here is something I want everyone to do. Go outside every night to the same location and look at the sky at the same angle. Count the stars, it is best if you draw them or take a picture. You do not have to be accurate with distance at all with this. Okay and do this for a week.
When I did this I noticed some odd things. One night I had no stars. The sky was not cloudy and it was clear. Another night I had one star. Other nights I had quite a few. Then the locations of those few stars seem to change. This is more dramatic then the normal earth rotation speed. These are dramatic changes every night.
I do not have any scientific research to state why this is happening. I wanted to know if anyone else can confirm my observations. I will also fulfill my request and draw the stars for the next week. (I am not artistic but I think I can handle dots) I am getting the feeling that this is not normal. Something odd is happening... (Or maybe I am paranoid as ever)
When I say the stars move I mean they go from being none to a bunch in one night. The sky is clear when this happens. Their distance from each other seems to change too. Horizontally and vertically. I went out at different times for the past month. 10:00 p.m. -5 a.m. I will make the times more consistent to validate my observations.

It is called light pollution. We exert so much light into our atmosphere that the light particles bounce around and are trapped so sometimes when you go out at night you can't see the stars because you are seeing light refraction even on a clear night. That is why if you go out into the wilderness where there isn't light for hundreds of miles the stars look a lot brighter. It is really sad that many people don't know about it, and people can go for years without actually seeing things in the sky.
Also the universe is expanding, the solar system is moving and expanding, the earth is moving around the sun and on its axis, so everything is at constant change (even though it looks like it isn't). That is why some stars are brighter today or less brighter than they have been in the past.

Alright thanks for the input then. I guess I might be a little paranoid... But the paranoid man does not get surprised. (he does however get killed)
