I agree with nina

Just think about it for a minute

You might end up summoning something you don't want and then it will not go away...not good

Shaodws do not protect people, they are negative energy.
All light sources cannot last forever the way darkness can.

yeah i would not suggest doing that. i mean if you want to summon something to protect you look into things like ancestor worship or maybe summoning angels or something because they are naturally good. and i would hope your ancestors would be willing to protect you.

you got to remember he is a necromancer... He is not going to summon an angel to help him he is already dark. I don't think he sould summon a shadow because it will just hurt him and make things worse but he probably will and then he will need help to stop that... Here is the rule of thumb: You can fight fire with fire but who will be able to stop the final fire?

I will walk you through how this process will work. First you will spend days and weeks trying to track down the right spell, then you will summon a shade and tell it to do your bidding. It will appear to be obeying you for a short while, but you will notice you feel weaker with each passing day. Eventually it will have drained you enough to break your hold over it and it will then turn on you. If you're lucky it will kill you, if not you will end up like my friend Josh who spooned his own eyes out, trying to stop the visions the shade forced him to see. He now resides in Anderson Mental Ward in my home  town, unable to even take himself to the bathroom. He is on so many meds he doesn't even know he's alive, and for all purposes he isn't. These forces are nothing to mess with. No one can ever master them and they will eventually consume you. This goes to all who seek to dive into those dark arts. And if you decide to do it anyway I will be glad to share more horror stories of the things I have seen. If this post bothers you or disturbes you...good. Thats the point.  :-(

why do people insist in poking thier noses where they dont belong. If you summon the wrong thing it will be upset and you will get ripped to pieces............magic is to be stayed away from , lets just say the "gift" is never for free there is price the questions is are you willing to pay?

I was about to ask you the same thing. *<:)

Anyway, to get back on topic...
I think that anyone who views "entities" of any kind as "bad" needs a reality check. You can't possibly expect something that exists outside the boundaries of human reality and consciousness to conform to the same worldview we've evolved to have. It's just ridiculous.
