Trolls were also from Norse mythology but occur much later, taking the parts traditionally reserved for other norse creatures including the dwarf and the ice giant (the true name of which is hard to spell so I shall not) they are described as being incredibally ugly (true in modern fantasy) and as being turned to stone by the suns rays (Not true in modern fantasy yet occurs in the Hobbit)

In Forgotten Realms, and a lot of other modern day works, Trolls are described as kinda dog headed, and can reproduce much like a-sexual plants. Where as if you chop off an arm or leg, they will regenerate, so you have TWO trolls where you once had one. Although they still retain separate genders and can mate to give birth.

Is any of that even true? Or is it pure hogwash?

mmmmm. . . not hogwash, artistic interpretation, but really the only thing modern trolls have in common with the mythological ones seems to be the name. . .

In Norse mythology, they are nowhere near as dim witted as modern fantasy portrays them to be. Instead of being gigantic hulking brutes which are only dimly sentient, trolls in Norse myth are the relations of the dwarves and like their kindred, dwell in fairly advanced socities ruled by kings. Although extremely hideous, they could be shrewd and cunning.

well i have know clue and most of  the sstuff i find on the web is usewless and whatever i find in books that arent fantasy all i get are larrge cannabilistic grotesque big nosed monsters or giants

Trolls are more common in slavic lands and old places of the world. They are not any stupider than your average human, have thier own language or often speak the local one, theyre average of 9 or ten feet tall. Love meat, people cows horses goats it doesnt faze them. They are actually very good at stone masonry and are ill tempered at the best of times. The only diffrence is Japanses Oni who are very smart trolls indeed but not related to thier European counterparts.  They are very hard to kill and have thick skin. The only way I managed to kill on in Bosnia was to stab its eyes out and cut its throat. Then I burnt it to make sure. Thankfully due to me and my kins efforts there are very few left.

So… basically you killed a sentient being whose only offense to you was its very existence? Again, how mighty white of you… You remind me of the Klan and other various hate groups. In fact, your reasoning and logic behind your actions is very much like theirs.

This being the case, I have to assume that…

A) You were born –and raised in – a shack in some god-forsaken backwoods hicktown in West Virginia (My deepest apologies to all members from this area… I don’t intend to make you look bad.) and at some point was moved to the Deep South, where your uncle introduced you to the family secret… and then to the Klan or Aryan Nation or some other group of morons.

B) There is no danger of you reproducing because you’re too lost in WOW to find a real girlfriend.

Whichever is the case, it doesn’t matter – you lose.
