Hmmmm. . . it'd be possible for there to be earthquakes far away from fault lines but really it would just be an extention of the earthquake happening at the fault line, I don't believe earthquakes could occur everywhere at once without some interference by outside forces. . .

If the poles will shift, earthquakes are inevitable

Isn't the poles shifting suposed to be something that happens really really slowly?

Frankly all this 2012 nonsense is just because of some primative people that while they were more advanced at some things then other primative people but didn't have a concept for infinity and forever. . .

Are you for asking that question?

And as a matter of fact no I am not, I stand by what I say, it's entirely possible for a people to be advanced in one thing but not having such a simple concept as infinity, they didn't have a concept for infinity so they just stopped their calenders at the highest number they cared to count to.

Do people realize that it's even in stone and clay records in Mayan temples that the only reason they stopped at 2012 is because they lacked the ability to predict the movement of the stars past that point?
It doesn't mean the world is going to end. It means that they had a limit to their knowledge and readily admitted it in stone carvings in the temples and palaces.

Jeez, some people.

So, what you are saying is what? Their stone wasnt big enough?

And no, Im not stoned for asking, tnx. But I dont think they would stop the calendar just cause they didnt care for higher numbers. That is kind of pretty silly thing to even think of....

NO, it means they couldn't predict the movement of the stars past a certain point. End of story.

Now I get it, sorry..... not all are blessed with such wisdom....

now, seriously, do you really think that people that knew about astronomy and math that much would stop cause they couldnt PREDICT further? They didnt PREDICT it, they calculated..... you know that thingy they teach you in school, like 1+2=3?

Last time I checked it was simple discourse and discussion with a heavy dose of friendly sparring, 7x3. As far as I'm aware neither of us was breaking the rules, and since she's the one in charge of this section I imagine she'd put an end to it if she felt it necessary.
