Now,
I'm sure you have all read that the Anti-Christ will come and will manipulate the highest of the highest hierarchies of the planet and lead into self-destruction. The most interesting part about this I find is how the Anti-Christ will make a world government in the future. I find that part VERY interesting. It seems no one has heard of the UN? or G8 summits? Can I hear all of your views on this please?

I've heard about these organisations, and i see where you're going with this... prezhorus is your main man on this subject. But perhaps you could use this forum to share some info with the forum populace at large who don't know about these organisations? Feel free to.

If you insist. I really didn't bother last time.
Well first, the UN (motto= It's your world. Cheesy or what?) is an international organization that describes itself as a "global association of governments facilitating co-operation in international law, international security, economic development, and social equity." It was founded in 1945 at the signing of the United Nations Charter by 51 countries, replacing The League of Nations which was founded in 1919. the League Of Nations truly sucked. There are 192 members of the UN, and 193 countries in the world. The Vatican is the outcast. And yes, its an independant state, therefore a country.
Have you also noticed that the UN has its own forces? Perhaps the work of an Anti-Christ? Give its world government an armed force and tell everybody its to KEEP THE PEACE. Genius, Is it not? Montenegro became the most recent country in the UN, joining on June 28th 2006, 3 days ago.
The G8 Summit. I find particularly interesting. The Group of Eight (G8) consists of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. All these countries together make 65% of the worlds economy. The Presidency of the group rotates every year. For 2006 it is held by Russia, and a 2006 summit of all G8 leaders will eventually be held in Saint Petersburg from July 15 to July 17 at the Palace of Congresses.

These guys discuss worlds issues AND has already been called a world government.... although they call it an unofficial one. Yeh a load of people b*tch about these guys about how they caused global warming and such...
If any member of the G8 were to be an Anti-Christ, I think we would all elect Mr. Bush there for that honour. Perhaps the next time the presidency of the summit rotates to him he may convince the other worlds-strongest-leaders to help him in his "anti-terrorism campaign" against the Middle East. Also known as World War III.

Human nature is the natural foil to any sort of "world government." We can't agree on anything, and the only way for an institution to truly rule the world is with the consent of the people. There just isn't a single group with enough arms and manpower to force anyone to do what they want.
As far as the UN goes, it's become a weak and very corrupt organization, and really has no say in what goes on outside the confines of its meeting hall. Their blue-helmet troops don't even have ammunition in their weapons. Where's the authority? "You there, halt, or I'll...say halt again!"
As for G8, these nations rarely agree on every issue, and since the leadership is passed every year, you don't have any absolute power. Plus, the leader of G8 during any given year has no authority whatsoever over the sovereign nations that make up the organization. No worries there.
If anything, the EU would be more likely to evolve into a world power than either of the two previously named groups...

A lot of the time you don't need weapons to control people.

I'm not saying that you need just arms to control people. However, there are only two ways to get people to do what you want: willingly, or unwillingly. If they're unwilling, then you'd better have the power to force them to do what you want. Since the U.N. has no real authority, they would have to rely on the authority of force, and they don't have that either.

the UN is the 8 strongest leaders in the world. (I'm also not sure if I've pushed this point before). Perhaps... the 8 strongest leaders could go home, walk into the senate/parliament/congress or whatever, and say "Hey guys, how's about a war because <insert humoungous lie>?"
maybe a little far-fetched. but the 8 strongest countries all having a war? even if not necessarily united.

You're thinking of the G8, or Group of 8, which aren't necessarily the 8 strongest in the world, but include the eight nations who make up over half of the world's global economy: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, The United Kingdom, and the United States. While there are certainly some powerful countries in that list, the also don't include China, which is definitely a power not to be overlooked.
The UN sports 192 member nations, most of which are barely a blip on the political power radar, and those nations, much like people, rarely agree on anything, especially if they think it doesn't coincide with their best interests.

I don't think the "world governement" will start from the un .. because it is written that the anti-christ will descend from the skies at a city called soor (i think) at lebnanon .. luckily .. its the same city israel engaged war on it coupl eos months ago!!
Back to the point of world governement well , its also written that the anti-christ will have extreme power of making wonders and great powers to seduce you through lies. Therefore i think he will make his own "UN" with the will of two thirds of the inhabitants of the earth at that time as written exactly in the prophecy. I am not saying anything from my imagination its only a translation from the prophecy!!
Imagine two thirds of the people joining his legion.. it really deserves to be named world governement!!!!!

Well, the Norse legends say the world will end in a titanic battle between the gods and their enemies, called Ragnarok. I don't see where the book of Revelations has any more credence than any other apocalyptic vision; they're all equally silly.
As for the U.N. what you have is not a united group, but a collective of self-interested nations that use it as a political stage to get what they want out of other nations...it's far from the altruistic ideal it started out as.
