I thought this would be interesting to see what people would pick. :gun: :embarassed:
-
I said drown, but I'd rather just die in my sleep :|

Drowning is probably the worst in my opinion since your lungs literally burst.
-
I didn't see a suffocation choice, so I chose the next best thing.
-
Actually, the lungs themselves do not burst. The tiny capillaries sometimes do from the exertion or struggle to hold one's breath while still moving, but the lungs themselves do not burst. Also, my father is a survivor of drowning. From what he describes, it's a very pleasant experience once your lungs force you to inhale the water. At that point, you cease to have the urge to breathe, the lack of oxygen causes the panic to subside, and you float in the water, with nothing but a peaceful feeling, and the notion that "Hey, this isn't so bad." in your mind; then you lose consciousness. In fact, my old man actually fought his rescuers when they grabbed him off the bottom of the pond he'd gone down in - the experience was that peaceful and desirable to him.

That has to be the most interesting thing I've heard in awhile. Who knew drowning could be peaceful! :-o
-
How about hypothermia? I've heard it's supposed to be a nice way to die, too. Too cold, though. I like warmth. :-)
-
It surprised me to know that drowning could be peaceful
None of the choices look good to me, out of those I guess I would choose....Being shot
Personally I would rather go out of this world the same way I came in :-D
-
Drowning or poison would be my first picks. They're both so pretty in their own way.
(warning: I have severely weird views on death)

What do you mean?
-
I chose to be ripped to death, because I can't imagine a death more worthy of honor than being shredded to a million teensy-weensy little pieces by a swarm of enemies toting various slashy, hacky, slicey, choppy things. :-D

I personally think some deaths can be beautiful, romantic, or artistic. It's a strange view I'm told.
-
Beautiful? Artistic? Pfft.
Noble, valiant, honorable, and glorious maybe, but beautiful? I don't really consider becoming fodder for Mother Morríghan's crows beautiful. Maybe I'm just crazy. :-P

Perhaps. A romanticized death is certainly plausible. I disagree that it is strange, death in literature, art, movies...etc. could be viewed as a grand thing. Such as when a villain dies or when a warrior dies a "warrior's death". You get the idea.

So I'm not alone in my thinking. That's a relief.

We're both weird! Yay. High five!....if I can find one...

i hear its saposed to be like falling asleep,
and as for the drowning, a peacful death sounds nice
-
I say just gas me and get life over with :-D
-
My idea way of going out would be in hand to hand contact with someone who took me right to the edge, a true warriors death!
-
out of those choices, I'd pick beaten, because it seems like something that would happen to me. But from any choice, I'd pick falling off a really high cliff/building. I'd be fun...'till you hit the ground.
-
I picked being poisoned over other things. There is some dark romance in being poisoned by someone you loved, dying in her cold embrace while the glass of poisoned wine shatters on the ground.
-
I want to be eaten by animals. Because, if you really are what you eat. Then it's like I "live on" in the animals and a part of me will be passed on to their offspring. Plus as a ghost I can be happy knowing that my corpse got something different then the normal stuff. Burned to ash, pointless. Rotting in the ground,a waste.

So, you want to say that you carry on the souls of all the fried chicken and roast beef you've ever eaten? Cool. I don't like the idea of being what I eat. Kinda suicidal cannibalism, you know.
-
A sword fight is how I would want to go out. One big battle. I would want to die and be a part of something great, not for something. But out the choices I would pick being quartered along with hypothermia.
-
Souls cannot be owned, given away, or anything stupid like that. We are the soul, not the body. And I'm not the first to believe that the decay of the body is something to be avoided. Soooo why not give it to animals? It's just flesh, so I would choose to let some animal have another meal and keep itself healthy. I don't want children, so this is a way for my DNA to live on. :)

Cool way to pass on your DNA, Morrighan. I'll keep it in mind if I ever have the intention of doing so.
-
I'd take a skateboard and ride down the interloop off the freeway and hey if I live then that's just Awesome! And if I die then I would have wamted to anyway!
In all seriousness though,If I could choose I would die having sex or have sex and rest with my partner and die in my sleep.

You and I could go toe to toe, at least one of us gets his way. MUHUHAHAHAHAHAHA!
-
I would go for the battle thing too, but I really don't want to die. I used to not be so afraid of dieing, but my bf is a reincarnate and he has chosen that this will be his last life...because of me. If I could die and reincarnate, then I would be fine, but to lose him, and have him lose me...

I've always thought drowning would be horrible, and that's partly because I hate the water... but it actually doesn't sound so bad.
-
I want to die doing something I love...
-
I know this is going to sound totally messed up but starvation. I like hanging on until the bitter end.

:O That would be horrible... xD
-
Yeah, but looking at some of the other stuff... I would imagine that you eventually just get to weak to go on. And the constant belly ache. I dont know. Longest I have gone was 10 days. It sucked.
-

Why did you have to go ten days without eating? O.o
-
I got stuck in the mountains when my truck broke down. It wasnt a very visited place. Got plenty on water though. There was a spring that ran up to a well.
I tell ya'. You'll think about eating anything when you get that hungry. When I finally got back to civilization and ate food I totally pigged out. Then I got sick.
-
i didn't see a choice about dying in bed while making love to ann maragert. that would be my choice.
-
Well a death I would volunteer for would have to be dramatic. Something very improbable and impossible.
I would like to die in a bonfire, in the ocean, in space. I do not mean the ocean of space I mean an ocean of water in space. I think this death would be cool.
Or a slow death that I know in advance will kill me like a fatal disease. I would like about a month or two left and crank up the credit card. I would get in so much debt and have a blast. Then die peacefully on my floor while the bank is taking away all my possessions. I can die right next to the guys lifting the furniture. This death may not be as cool but it is fun.
Now if I have to die and can't have either one i'll just get shot. Quick, painless (if location makes it instant) and too the point.
-
The dream I always have is about me falling through the ice and drowning at night time. It is kind of scary but I am use to the deja vu dream.
-
"Eaten" is not on the poll list.
-
I picked drug ovrdose, how is that painful, you lose consciousness and just die in your sleep. But i dont even like medicine, its not natural.
-
I choose drawn and quartered. Talk about curel and unusal. . . how I like it.
On the other hand, overdosing seems to be particularly popular with the actors. :|
-
...... i wanna go like old obi wan. Poof.
-
It's a toss up between free falling or being frozen to death... depends on what I feel up to at the time.
-
Id have to go with being beaten to death.
-
Hmm. Well, I don't know yet. But I want to die laughing.
-
True story:
A reporter is interviewing a Marine sniper in Iraq....
Reporter: "So, what goes through your mind when you kill an insurgent?"
Marine: "Recoil."
That, so far, is the single funniest thing I have ever been told.
-
Nice, every time I shot a .50 cal while still on my ship I thought: Did I hit that damn tomato? <-- I'm the only person who hit it.... T_T Go Navy.
(for those who don't know The tomato on my ship, at least, was a giant square red balloon that floated on the water.)
-
<---------Prefers the method of satellite targeting and push button missile deliveries. No need to ask if I hit it, I just watch it through on board video feeds.
-
Lol. Is it a big red button? The one that says not to push it? If so can I come visit one day? Please? <^> I've always wanted to hit that big red button!
-
I chose shot, I want to be go down swinging :gun:
-
Not sure if you'll go down swinging after being shot, seems like something that might slow you down.
-
Would wouldnt it? I got a laugh out of that one.
-
Out of those choices, id rather get shot. Then I might have a chance to bring the sob that did it with me :gun: <^>
-
Out of the ones listed...stabbed. Close enough for me to get some shots in & maybe take them with me, but not so drawn out as to make it a spectacle* :P
Although personally I'd go with the guillotine-nice and quick, but mildly interesting.
* By spectacle, I mean laying on the sidewalk bleeding out while a bunch of idiots gawk at me...ughh.
-
Thought this through.
I'd rather just die the way I'm supposed to, and not have to dwell on it past that. Since I don't know how I'm supposed to die, I'm leaving this one blank.
-
hmm something short and yea well hmm shot to the head or fall flat onto a hard surface from a really REALLY high place, were i'd go *SPLAT then my guts and everything would be all over the place i'd only feel pain for a few seconds then i'm sauce
-
I don't know, seems like the time spent falling wouldn't exactly be fun.
-
Yeah, wouldn't you be anticipating the impact the entire time that you are falling?
-
Poisoned could be a lot of things. If it's lethal injection style, that's fine-quick & painless. :-D
-
Depending on the type of poison.
-
I don't know, seems like the time spent falling wouldn't exactly be fun.
maybe it would bc i LOVE heights and being in the air, exciting yet relaxing :-D
-
Imma go out on a limb here and say that I'm probably gonna die saving someone else's ass...and I'd prefer it that way, actually...
Actually, I've died twice before anyway, once from drug overdose and then again from the motorcycle crash that killed my sister and her fiancee...so yea, already know that.... :(
