I'll explain it in-depth, just because I feel like it....

The term comes from Monty Python, in that one sketch, a waiter gives the menu, which is filled with spam (the food) and a bunch of vikings start singing a song, the lyrics being just... "spam", drowning the conversation to the annoyance of the waitress who ends up just yelling for them to shut up. Kinda like on the Internet. Except, sadly, you can't be a viking on the Internet

So eventually people thought it was funny and started using the word spam to drown conversations on online boards such as BBS's. They'd just keep writing "spam" and it would... Well... Fill the less hyperactive users' conversations with "spam". I would make their replies scroll off-screen, as you'd expect, and it was a pain in the ass. It still is. Hence, the term "spamming".

It doesn't directly come from the luncheon meat as you can see, but that's roughly how it came along.

Now though, Lex is wrong, it is somewhat and acronym. That's because the luncheon meat's name, spam, comes from the term "shoulder of pork and ham" or "spiced ham", which ended up being abbreviated to "spam". So although it's not exactly an acronym, it's still a portmanteau word.

Ouija boards for "stupid normies" is definitely not advised. Atleast, anyone I have spoken to would advise against it. And there is one other fun way, which Id also advise against. Provoking them . But seriously, dont do that. These things are best left alone. If anything wants to communicate, then it will.

lol unfortuantely i don't have the choice of whether i can communicate with them or not XD spirts just come to me,i can hear them but not so clearly which irritates me XD lol and sorry 'bout the "stupid normies" thing i had to deal with ignorant people that were openly misunderstanding spirits and i was just really mad that day but then lightened up a bit, very confusing XD.

Personally, I dont find communication the problem. One does not need a Ouija board to communicate. Its the interaction that gets to me. They can never seem to let things be.

Maybe. Though I am much happier knowing whats out there (and sometimes right here, eh), be it good or bad. Even the neutral. Plus, I like knowing of peoples guardians. Not guardian angels mind you, not sure what theyd be called properly. I just know them as guardians.
