how can one summon an elemental. and if you do is there any chance they will take a physical form? and teach you use that element??

Ted Andrews has a fantastic book, Enchantment of the Fairy Realm. It's goes into wonderful detail on how to deal with all four elementals, how to attune to them,  what attracts them, how to understand them,  a few stories about his own interactions and how he's witnessed them protect and protest what they don't agree with, the difference between dark elementals and why they have such a dislike for humans.

brownies, gnomes, fairies and other "wee folk" are their physical forms and if you are using the elements you're already using the elements.

It's as simple as my dad telling us to leave a bowl of milk out for the brownies or just sitting by a quiet stream in the middle of the woods and feeling all the life it buzzes with.
