Title: So a stroll in the woods...and what do I see? What does this mean?
Post by: ItsAHippyVanThing on January 10, 2007, 02:35:53 PM
Ok I went to the New Forest with my mum and mum's bf, we walked the dog etc. etc.
Well anyway right near the car park type thing on a hill, go down the hill to a slight clearing and there is a circle of tiny rocks and stones and further in the circle are 13 sticks in a circle also as much as they can be...
We initially thought it must be witchcraft but it seems strange that it is so near the entrance to the forest and why is it still there (it has been there for months now.)?
No one has wrecked...
Yet I will say the dog did go into the circle and grip a stick with its teeth and walk off rather happily unaware of its consequences lol.
So anyone know if this is witchcraft?
And does anyone know what witchcraft is mainly about...I thought it was about the power, being part of a cult (correct meaning?) is to feel higher and people in police force, teachers positions do it, normal people to feel more power..yet a theory was brought up that it could be for sexual pleasure...
Anyone know?

Here is a bad quality picture, just to try and capture it.

It does look like a witches circle, in my opinion. Probably Wiccan or some newb order.

Withcraft isnt about power, it's about being free. You dont have to join a cult/coven/whatever you want to call it. To join one is to help express yourself with others. Sure, some may incorporate sexual acts into it, but sex is a form of expression.

Not very nice still if you ask me, however some would disagree...but we all have our own opinions and if you accept mine, I'll accept others...

It's really all in how it's percieved, especially from the users point of view.  There are as many reasons to be involved in witchcraft as there is to join a church.  The similarities in the motives behind both acts can be quite startling.

Yeah, and don't forget that there are some bad and good apples in the bunch.  Some can very well be power hungry and prejudiced, just like anyone else, while others are perfectly kind and decent people.  I've known a few of both varieties, and a couple who refused to call themselves Wiccans anymore because there was so much hate towards Christians in their local Wiccan community.  Basically, you never really know people's reasons for things and intentions unless you're planning to go meet them face to face and ask them about it.  It really has nothing to do with the religion as a whole, but the individuals who may have made that circle.

i find this an intresting subject because of how i have lived my life.
my mum and her freinds use what could be called witchcraft i do not know but there are times when i feel a little strange after she has looked at her tarot cards or after she looked at her ruins but apart from that i never thought about.
