Whci is your favourite movie?

In my opinion, i thought the 3rd one was the best and it's my favourite one.

Dream Warriors was the first Nightmare film I ever saw and to this day it is my favourite. The bit where Freddy makes that guy a puppet using his veins as strings. It was awsome. Next best was the first and then vs Jason for pure fanboy reasons.

I have to say 1 & 2 were my favorites. Freddy v Jason was just pure fun mainly because it focused, in my opinion, more on the villians than the protagonists. Freddy has always been my favorite movie monster. I am not happy about the remake. As far as I am concerned without Robert or Wes it simply isn't Freddy. No one will ever be able to bring that character to life the way Robert did & when he retired the character it should have stayed that way. But that's just my opinion.

As always I only have only 1 favorite of anything.  Nightmare on Elmstreet started it all and gave Freddy his sadistic psychotic side, Evil should be feared, and while the later films had a lighter side it is hard for me to feel that original chill of respect that fear instills upon the antagonist.

I liked the Wes Cravensnew nightmare because it talked more about Freddy's past.

New Nightmare told you nothing about Freds past. It was based in a seperate world like ours where the Nightmare movies were fictional. It was Nightmare 4 and 5 that told you about Freds past.

I'm with Muerte on this one. A horror film should terrify you, not send you into howls of disappointed laughter.

The first was the best, after that Freddy got a little too corny. The new one was alright.

I haven't seen the new one yet... don't know if I want to either. I saw their 'reboot' of "Friday the 13th", and it sucked in my opinion.

The new one is good as long as you can accept that Fred isn't Robert Englund.

I cant argue with that, hell, Robert IS Freddy in my book but in the new movie Freddy is a little darker, I would recomend giving it a shot

i just love the original scary movies like the 1st one and the remake seriously sucked because
1.the guy that played Freddy didn't even give of the eerie creepy feeling
2.on top of that looked like a raw rare cooked fish so he just looked plain gross
3.then to make it even worse Freddy didn't even torture his victims like the others(and that was what i was looking forward to the most  :-( )

i mean once they were shown the were killed shortly after. so I recommend moloch that you DON'T see the new nightmare on elm street (well that's if u haven't), it is a complete waste of time and a huge disappointment.

The Original Nightmare series is my top horror movies. And Robert IS Fred but if you do see the new one take it for what it is. It is not meant to be the same. If it was they would just have rereleased the original. It a reinvention. And the make up looks like a real burn victim. Its different. So if you don't want to see someone elses take on Nightmare then don't see it.

well i already seen it, what i said about the movie are my opinions after i saw it.
i knew it would be different because its a remake, but lets say the director and the new freddy just didn't know what they were doing. maybe if the scenes weren't so choppy and freddy actually tortured his victims then i would've liked it lol.

I agree. Like most film remakes they tried to fit too much in. The scenes were choppy and their wast much time dedicated to Fred killing his victims. It was rather sudden.
