Does anyone belief that the Japanese Godzilla is capable of taking on and defeating the beast from Cloverfield? It would be interesting to see if the famous King Of Monsters would be able to hold his title against a raging abomination like that.

The Cloverfield monster is actually supposed to be nothing more than a panicked baby suffering from severe seperation anxiety.
How could that even have a chance against an immortal, mutated full-grown dinosaur?

The original Gojira, the TRUE one, was a dinosaur. The American one had to flub that all up and make it a mutant iguana.

I loved both growing up and both have their merits

But when it comes down to brass tacks, Godzilla is the Bad A** of monsters, he has to many weapons at his disposal compared to Kong (who is just strong)

I thought it was total sacreilege that Zilla was killed in that movie, Zilla never gets killed and thats the way it should be...nuff said

Well, as Kreepy said, it's not the real Godzilla. Japanese movie fans even regard it as a creature that is entirely different from Gojira with whom it is in no way related.
