yep you may also notice that among alot of lunar priest hoods mostly shamanic in nature or atleast heavily pertaining of natural influences pass on priesthood by rank within there family as seen in alot of african tribes and some covens.

I think that things like madness, bi polar, schizophrenia, etc are hereditary.
These things are probably medical terms for uncontrolled magical ability in individuals.
As such they are passed down through blood lines.

I dont think all cases like that are out of control magic. I think some people are just ill or disturbed.

I can attest to these things usually being passed down via the maternal lineage. In my family's case though, somehow it jumped to the male side, and when it did it was corrupted - badly. Three generations later, and voila, you have me. Also, apparently there is supposed to be a self-correction mechanism. All of the males in my family who have inherited it since then go slowly psychotic. I beat that, I think, by progressing further with the power and abilities, and training much harder than any previous male. So perhaps I'm safe, perhaps not. Perhaps it is because of the vampirism... who knows.

ive also seen that moloch, which has lead me to beleive that when it comes to mystical alighnment or abilities it is the mother who has the genes for it but the father must have predetermined
genes to allow the display of such powers within there chilldren well atleast if the child is male for in women the secondary x chromosome is inactive allowing for one to completely inherit there mothers magical ability or there fathers mothers abilities of any or none.
