Title: It won't leave me alone
Post by: LadyLycanthrope on July 24, 2010, 12:43:17 PM
I posted something on here recently about the problems I've been having with ghosts and shadow people. Things were back to normal for a while but for the past week odd things have been happening. Every time I'm in my room I have this eerie feeling that I am being watched. It's always from the same spot too. The corner near my bedroom door. I have seen what I believe to be a shadow being there quite a few times before..(I saw a shadow creature crouched over near my door and it came towards me then just disappeared). I feel threatened and I'm starting to think it is something evil. I fear turning off the lights and even with the lights on I see these beings. I only feel safe closing my eyes when the sun comes up and I feel as if I'm being forced out of my own room by whatever it is haunting me. Any ideas on what it is and what I can do to get rid of it?

I would suggest that before you go with the supernatural causes, you eliminate the mundane ones. For example, and as I explained to another member here recently who had similar problems, E.M.F. radiation can cause pretty much all of the same issues you've listed, and then some. You may want to see about getting someone to run an E.M.F. detector around your entire house to make sure you don't have bad wiring causing your problems.

Also on a mundane level it is you that are creating the only real problems in these experience.

The only problems that i see here are your emotional reactions and complete lack of control over your own mind.

Dumb question, but who is actually in charge of your mind?

If you  feel threatened and  are starting to think it is something evil, be very honest and  ask yourself if you have any real evidence that this is true.
Is it absolutely true that it is threatening you and that it is evil?

You might as well try to get rid of the sun and stars because they upset you. The best thing to get rid of here is your moronic thinking. Start with that, thats is the only real problem you have. Other than that it is just an experience, just like seeing the sun and stars is only an experience.

This is also assuming it is real in the first place, and not a hallucination brought on by sensitivity to E.M.F. radiation.

Moronic thinking? Wow how lovely of you to put it so nicely. I will look into the E.M.F. detector.

Who said anything about moronic thinking? I said some stuff about mundane causes... but I saw nothing about anyone being a moron.

Ah, I stand corrected.

No worries. You can't expect all people on the internet to be nice to someone they don't know.

Oh the Old Man can be nice, it's just that we have had so many "Help a ghost is after me!" cases that turn into nothing at all that has him riled.  I think like me he would like to see something concrete in the near future, or maybe I should be glad it mostly turns out to be nothing.  After all the cases that turn out to be something tend to become rather involved.  And I concur with Moloch, if you thought the small sting delivered by Old B was nasty you should look into some of both his, mine and a fella called Kreepy.  After that it won't sting quite so much.

After that, nothing he says will sting.

I can understand why people wouldn't believe me because obviously some people are going to make up stories on here or there's going to be a lot of encounters that turn out to be nothing. I thought maybe on here people might actually believe me instead of just telling me it's all in my head or something.

What if it is all in your head? Have you truly stopped and seriously considered that possibility?

Well I don't believe it is. It can't be in your head when more than one person has seen it right? Well my sister has had an encounter and my friends who have stayed the night think that there's something not right about my house. One friend even said that she heard noises while she was downstairs alone changing in the middle of the night. It can't be in my head because other people have experienced some of what I have experienced and if it is all in my head, then it's all in their heads too.

I have an idea, why don't you get one of those $5.00 LED lanterns from walmart? They come with the batteries and if you flip it on its pretty bright, maybe put that shining in the corner, if it moves then Its a shadow being, right?

That's exactly how I discovered the being before. I had a light on and I saw the shadow move. Since then I have even seen it in broad daylight. I had another encounter with it recently..it appearing at the end of my bed and just standing there before disappearing and that was with it being semi-dark in my room.

First off it is not evil. That is your thinking saying this.

Next you say you feel threatened, again this is just your feelings. How is this thing actually threatening you? Its not is it? Thats just your projection.

I am not denying that you see and experience this. I fully believe that you do.
Its just that you need to separate your mental and emotional stuff from what is actaully happening.

What is actually happening is that you see something unusual, then you have negative mental and emotional reactions which are entirely yours.
The good thing is that they are yours to change too.

I know this will be easier said than done, but if you do not want this "person" in your room, tell it to leave. You have full control of your room. It is an intelligent entity, it should abide by your wishes.
