You torture people by braiding their hair?  It only works if your enemy has curly long hair

A person's limbs and joints were shattered, then braided through wheel-spokes or ladder rungs. They were then left to die slowly, either from internal haemorrhage, exposure, or thirst.

It looks like it might hurt like hell, huh? It also seems bloodier than making braids to someone's hair.

The pear had more than one implementation, with the most popular being the oral use. The pear was also used in the rectum and in the vagina.
The pear was "expanded by force of the screw to the maximum aperture of their segments. The inside of the cavity in question is irremediably mutilated, nearly always fatally so. The pointed prongs at the end of the seqments serve better to rip into the throat" or "the intestines."
When applied vaginally, the spikes wreaked havok on the poor woman's cervix. The vaginal use was devised for women who had been found guilty of sexual union with the Devil or his familiars. Ken Russell's film The Devils shows a few implements similar to the vaginal pear in use.

Too bad. Duty dom had *so many* possibilities
The pear it's awful, man. And I like pain. But I might change my mind if after you using it on a willing *victim* you'll lend me the device

the cross could be interesting, so many options to express my anger upon a person's crime, and when i'm no longer angry, i can either leave them for the birds or release them...and watch as they hobble home. 

odd how they have a less brutal, but similiar device for other, uses.
