It’s an understatement to say that the organization known as the Bohemian Club is extremely secretive and shrouded in mystery. There is no 100% certifiable account establishing how this society developed and much of the information which is available is largely based upon speculation and vague research. According to public relations at the club, the Bohemian Grove was founded in 1872 by five newspapermen, as well as a local merchant and a Shakespearean actor from San Francisco. The first known meeting at the Grove did not officially take place until 1879, and shortly afterward this custom became an annual tradition that has continued consecutively for over one hundred and twenty-five years. The most well known ceremony is referred to as the “Cremation of Care”, or ‘dull care’, in which festivities are held including opera, music, poetry and literature, as well as plays that the “Bohos” produce and write themselves.

The true nature of the Bohemian Grove is so secluded and ominous that one might think there was, *gasp*, a conspiracy in the works. In dealing with less powerful and influential organizations we might not consider this as being suspicious, as many college fraternities are known for the bizarre hazing initiations of new pledges. But when considering over the years that the membership of the Bohemian Grove has included such illustrious figures as William Howard Taft, Theodore Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Herbert Hoover, Gerald Ford, Newt Gingrich, Henry Kissinger, Richard M. Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, penis Cheney and both Bush presidents, we must consider what they might be hiding behind the shadows and strange rituals of this super elite club.
What seemingly started in 1872 as an emerging society for poets and artists, quickly developed into a yearly meeting ground for some of the wealthiest and most prominent “movers and shakers” in the world of business, religion and politics. As we see by this small handful of names, many of the members of the Grove went on to become presidents of the United States as well as high ranking leaders of government, military and corporate projects.

While there is much we don’t know about the true origins and intents of the Bohemian Grove, there are a great many things that we can understand about the symbolism of this society and the yearly retreat it holds in July. The camp itself is located upon 2,700 acres of Redwood forests in Sonoma County, California, which is roughly 75 miles out of San Francisco. The territory of the Grove rests just outside of an area known as the Beltane Ranch. There are around 2,700 “Bohos” (members) at any given time, and each of them are separated into various titles, designations, camps and cliques. Around 119 camps have been accounted for. There is a waiting list of up to 1,500 eager VIP’s who casually pay the $2500 initiation fee, as well as the annual $600 membership fee. Some people have to wait up to ten years before they are accepted into the organization. While it has never been publically admitted, evidence would suggest that the group is founded upon ritualistic ideals originating in Paganism, Cabalistic mysticism, Masonic symbolism and an attachment to certain Germanic death cults stemming from the early 19th century.

The similarities between the Bohemian Grove, Germanic death cults (of which the Skull and Bones society sprouted as well), Masonic elements, and Rosicrucian fire alchemy are all extremely evident. The Bohemian Brothers, like the Rosicrucians, Masons, and Templars, are also known for building a number of churches throughout Europe in the pre-reformation days. The stain glass ‘Rose’ windows of these cathedrals indicate a relationship to a Rosicrucian sect, and “fire alchemy” could be considered among the many practices celebrated at the Bohemian Grove. The symbol of the rose itself has been considered holy for thousands of years in the worship of the goddess as well as blood sacrifice. The feminine qualities of Venus, Lilith, and the Virgin Mary among others, are all presented in the budding blossom of the blood rose, exposing fertility, the earth mother, and even the procession of menstrual cycles. While we can’t conclusively prove that the Bohemian Grove is a direct offshoot of a pre-existing fire worshiping sect of the Rosicrucian Order, the possibility is distinct. If nothing else, they share a common heritage to the same idol worshiping practices of paganistic forebearers from millennia’s past. This wouldn’t necessarily be as big of a problem if most of the members of the Grove didn’t pretend to be Christian conservatives when they take the political podiums vying for the votes of America, nor if attendees weren’t some of the wealthiest and most influential people on the planet.

The Bohemian Club is only one such institution of its kind which sprouted up throughout Germany in the century leading to WWII. As stated, the Grove is directly connected to another German born death cult known as “The Order of the Skull and Bones”, alternately known as “The Order of Death”. The American version of this group hails from prestigious Yale University and was founded in 1832. In 2004 both candidates for the United States presidency, George W. Bush and John Forbes Kerry, were members of the Yale Skull and Bones society. Considering the fact that only 15 new members are “tapped” for Skull and Bones each year, you might ask yourself what the chances are of two presidential candidates, on both sides of the fake Republican/Democratic coin, being members of the same elitist secret society. The odds are astronomical. The Bohemian Grove has been called “The greatest men’s party on earth”, according to onetime regular attendee, and 31st President of the United States, Herbert Hoover. Aside from the names already mentioned, other participants in the yearly celebration at The Grove have included: Dwight D. Eisenhower, Malcolm Forbes, Alan Greenspan, Colin Powell, Casper Weinberger, Art Linkletter, William Randolph Hearst Jr., Bing Crosby, Nelson Rockefeller, Mark Twain, Prince Philip, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Francis Ford Coppola, Charlton Heston, and Clint Eastwood as well as astronaut Neil Armstrong and Nazi Dr. Wernher Von Braun, one of the pioneers of the NASA space program. Leaders of the industrialized world, including heads of corporations and banking industries have made regular visits to the Bohemian Grove during past gatherings. Some have even suggested that Adolf Hitler himself was a member of the Grove during the 1930's and 40's. Though this is unlikely, it is very possible that he was a member of a German counterpart which also celebrated a “cremation of care” between May and July. German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt confirmed the existence of similar occult institutions in Europe within his autobiographical book Men and Powers, but stated that his favorite society to attend was the Bohemian Grove.

Every Republican president since Coolidge has taken part in the gala, as well as many other recognizable names in the world of politics, business and entertainment. This secret getaway for America’s male upperclass takes place during a two week long annual retreat in Monte Rio, California, and has all the luxuries you would expect from a super elite clique of deity worshiping multi-millionaires. Those designated members of the Grove who partake in theatrical performances are often times adorned in KKK style robes and garments, wearing crowns and holding scepters of authority. Speeches are made here that will decide the fate of global economy and foreign nations, conveniently tucked away from a blind-folded public who will be forced to suffer through these decisions. Though not everyone who attends the Grove has always been complimentary to what takes place there, as former President Richard M. Nixon stated in May of 1971:
“The Bohemian Grove-which I attend, from time to time-it is the most faggy damned thing you could ever imagine, with that San Francisco crowd. I can’t shake hands with anybody from San Francisco.”
If it was too perverted for “Tricky penis” you can imagine how twisted this place must really be. Yet in his book “Memoirs” from 1978 Nixon declared:
"If I were to choose the speech that gave me the most pleasure and satisfaction in my political career, it would be my Lakeside Speech at the Bohemian Grove in July 1967. Because this speech traditionally was off the record it received no publicity at the time. But in many important ways it marked the first milestone on my road to the presidency."
Another account from former Presidential advisor David Gergen states in a June, 1993 edition of the Washington Times:
“Presidential counselor David Gergen resigned yesterday from the all-male Bohemian Club, three days after saying he would not run around naked at its annual Bohemian Grove encampment and insisting he would not quit. White House spokeswoman Dee Dee Myers announced the resignation along with Mr. Gergen’s departure from 17 other interest groups, charities and public boards ranging from the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderberg Group and Council on Foreign Relations.”
For the November, 1989 edition of Spy Magazine, journalist Philip Weiss did a breakthrough expose on the Grove which highlighted many of the bizarre rituals and customs that are practiced during the ancient Druidic celebrations. From sexual reinactments, to high paid prostitutes and public nudity, the Bohemian Grove would give the Burning Man Festival a run for its money in the sheer level of weirdness and grandiose theatrical exuberance. Also to be noted that those who attend The Burning Man Festival in Nevada every year are rarely millionaires, nor do they control massive political or education institutions, or own multi-national corporations. Despite the nature of the wealthy and well known individuals who gather annually at the Grove, Weiss describes the general atmosphere as the following:
"The mood is reminiscent of high school. There's no end to the pee-pee and penis jokes, suggesting that these men, advanced in so many other ways, were emotionally arrested sometime during adolescence"

In July of 2000 radio host and documentary film maker Alex Jones claims to have actually infiltrated the Grove and taken footage of the ceremonies held there. The film, entitled Dark Secrets Inside Bohemian Grove, and available for purchase and download at www.infowars.com, depicts the Cremation of Care ceremony held before the giant 40-foot stone owl popularly known as Molech. Jones and cameraman Mike Hanson, claim to have disguised themselves as members of the “Hillbillies” camp, of which George W. Bush is a member, and shot hours of footage through a hidden camera embedded in a small pouch worn around the waist. Many questions have arisen over the years as to how Alex Jones was not only able to “sneak in” and take this footage, but why he was allowed to sell the film after trespassing on private property. The film was sponsored by the Channel 4 news-station out of the UK, which is known for being a disinformation front with Zionist agendas.

Whatever the case and the motive, the film taken by Alex Jones gives us new glimpses into the inner workings of the Bohemian Grove Society, as well as the secretive Cremation of Care ceremony held every year in July. This documentary film (done in a very ‘Blair Witch Project’ style) opens the door to what activities might really be taking place deep within the redwood forests along the banks of the Russian River. While we don’t have to trust Philip Weiss or Alex Jones explicitly in the matter of how they were allowed to released this information, it does give us new revelations about a very secluded and secretive society which has been celebrating for over one hundred years; extending in to the bounds of Germanic death cults and Druidic festivals held continuously for thousands of years.

“To purge himself of worldly concerns, a member of the elite Bohemian Club participated in a 1915 Cremation of Care ceremony-complete with candles and a robed and hooded comrade to guide him. But today the ceremony involves burning a mummy-like effigy named Care at the foot of the group’s mascot: a 40-foot-tall concrete owl.”
Every year the presidents of the Bohemian Grove call their brothers to witness the burning of care, stating with great infliction and emotion the dark desires of the Owl of Bohemia which burns in the hearts of all who will hear. The voice of “Moloch” itself is said to sometimes be contributed by well known television anchor Walter Cronkite as Disney music plays loudly in the background:

Each year at the Bohemian Grove, members of the all male club don red, black and silver robes and conduct an occult ritual wherein they worship a giant stone owl, sacrificing a “mock” human being in burning effigy to what they refer to as the “Great Owl of Bohemia”. Grove spokesman Steve Singer refers to this ritual as “Cremation of Care” (Dull Care), which enforces the fact that something is burned, confirming many eyewitness accounts, including those of Alex Jones in his channel 4 documentary. Singer denies any allegations of child abuse, and states that all ceremonies held at the club are only reinactments and that noone is injured during the process. He seems to take it lightly that some of the wealthiest men on the planet all dress up in KKK robes, chant and dance naked around a 40-foot stone owl which is historically known for the burning of child sacrifices.

The idol is referred to as Molech from the Biblical scriptures, and on the first Saturday (Saturn-Day) of the festival, just after dinner, the elaborate Cremation of Care is held as the sun begins to set. The ceremony starts with the procession of a group of men, dressed in robes and pointed red hoods, who carry torches and beat monotonously on tribal drums as they chant in unison. They carry an open coffin containing a “wooden skeleton” which represents the “mock” sacrifice about to be made. William Domhoff, author of ‘The Bohemian Grove and other Societies’ states, “This is the body of Care, symbolizing the concerns and woes that important men supposedly must bear in their daily lives. It is Dull Care which must be cremated.”
The Cremation of Care ceremony enacted by the Grovers would appear to be a method by which they annually dissolve their conscience and become closer to the occultic vision of their earthly desires and wants. It is a method by which “right and wrong” can be resolved and made one, so that new crimes might be committed. We could think of it as a super-elite version of Catholic confession, wherein the sins are confessed so that perceived “cleansing” can occur. Renown magi and occultist Aleister Crowley stated a similar philosophy in “Do what though wilt shall be the whole of the law.”
The Grove motto of “Weaving spiders come not here” coined by Shakespear, would seem to reflect in this same mindset of “leave your dirty business at the door.” In other words, be cleansed by the healing fires of the Great Owl of Bohemia! Pay your tithes, get baptized in the Russian River, admit your sins, and ye will be cleansed to commit sin anew upon the world. The Cremation of Care represents a perpetual cycle of sin, and release, giving power to the owl god which feeds off the corruption and worship of men.

1) In the Bible, the god of the Canaanites and Phoenicians to whom children were sacrified.
2) Something possessing the power to exact severe sacrifice.
The Christian Bible makes reference to the figure of Molech numerous times:
“You must not give any of your children as an offering to Molech, so that you do not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord!”

Molech is often found in relation with “demonic” entities such Lilith and Astoreth, Baal, Bel, Saturn as well as the Hebrew Yahweh. Similar sacrifices were held in honor of Yahweh as divine king and counselor, but the Bible went on to officially condemn this practice as being due to the outside influence of a heathen cult who took part in unholy customs. While the name of the sacrificial god Molek was later changed to Molech in order to stigmatize the practice of human sacrifice, it should be noted that the wise mythical character of King Solomon himself had temples of worship set up in honor of Molech/Baal. He also commanded hordes of demons to do his bidding and build his temples with a magical ring given to him by the archangel Michael, the name Solomon itself equating to the root of Sol, or “Sun”.

Molech represents the title of “King”, and is the sun god of the Canaanites in old Palestine, as well as the Phoenicians and other people of Carthage. In the 8th-6th century BC, many of the firstborn children of Israel were sacrificed to him in the valley of Hinnom, south-east of Jerusalem. These sacrfices were enacted in order to renew the power of the sun, as well as to insure the prosperity of agriculture and fertility rites which transcend to the dawn of human history. These rituals themselves were already ancient in the time of Baal and Bel, dating back to Sumerian and Egyptian practices which honored the gods Ptah, Apis, Hathor and Marduk as far back as 3,500BC. In many regards, the worship of Molech is not unlike the ceremonies held for the Greek gods Apollo and Dionysus, both of which were also sun gods or “shining ones”.
There are many tales where the Greek hero Hercules, another sun god, is acknowledged as an adversary of Molech, with related mythology stating that Hercules himself was assimilated into a Canaanite hodgepodge in which the son of Zeus took on the sacrificial role of Molech, accepting blood into the fires of his altar. On many occasions we find reference to “Molech-Hercules”, or “Bel-Marduk”integrated into a amalgamation of two distinct local gods who ruled the people. This might not seem so strange when we consider the fact that it was through the Israelites and Phoenicians that our system of written language was adapted through the Greeks, and transformed into our modern day phonetic system. Sharing and assimilation throughout ancient cultures, in their language, art, and even their gods, was not uncommon. Oftentimes this mergence would come in the process of warfare and the assimilation brought forth by conquering armies, other times it was more of mutual recognition of common religious and political attributes stemming from the Mesopotamian and Egyptian source cultures.

From the Canaanite’s chief god of Baal/Molech and their sacrificial practices, we get the origins for the word ‘cannibal’. Huge wooden and bronze statues were erected to this god, hollow on the inside so that a fire could burn deep within. First born children were placed in the hands of this idol, and through an elaborate system of gears and mechanics, the hands of the statue would rise up to a large animated mouth so that “Molech” could “devour” the youths. Those attending the ceremony would gather before the giant statue playing their funeral drums, flutes and tambourines while screaming infants were fed to the fires of this god.
In Egypt the figure of Apis, the Bull god, was worshiped as the living personification of the creator god Ptah in Memphis. This deity was the son of Hathor/Isis, whom had created him with a divine flash of lightning. He was depicted with a sun disk surmounted between his horns, and alternately, the moon disk or symbol of the Uraeus. The ceremonial sacrifice of the Apis bull was heavily practiced in early Egyptian culture, after which the bulls would be mummified and interred in a huge sarcophagi, placed in the royal catacombs of the Necropolis. The Apis bull was meant to represent the spiritual relationship to human elements, and served as an intermediary between the world of the living and the dead. He was believed to speak directly to the elite members of the priesthood, who would in turn inform the populace about what “divine” information Apis/Ptah had bestwoed to the city. In the Old Testement it is the Apis bull which is honored by the Israelites by a golden idol at Mt. Sinai. Apis and Hathor were the prototype versions of what would eventually develop into the supreme rulers of Horus and Isis, as Ptah would later be replaced by Ra and other powerful solar deities representing the sun disk. To the Hindus, this divine creator would become Dyaus Pitar (Ptah), Pitar meaning “father”.
Eventually this transformed into the master Brahma, while to the Greeks it would become Zeus (Dyaus) and Dionysus. To the Romans, Pitar was a funerary god who ruled the underworld, though we could concievably see that Pitar would become Peter, as in St. Peter, the rock upon which the Catholic Church is built. There is a phallic connotation to Peter as well, in its recognition as the rock of the obelisk or sky scraper, erect in powerful attention, awaiting the goddess of the fertile sky and heavens.
As stated, Molech is also of direct mythical relation to the gods El, Kronos and Saturn. All of which are well known for devouring their own children. The Greek name Kronos, and the Roman name Saturn both equate to ‘time’, such as with a chronology which is named after Kronos. The day of the week named after Saturn is Saturday, which according to many devout Christians is the day which should be recognized as the true Sabbath; not Sunday. Alexander Hislop, author of The Two Babylons, states that the Chaldee pronounced the name as ‘Satur’, but in Amamaic it was spelled as ‘Stur’. This word ‘Stur’, is stated as having the numerical value of 666 and equating to the title of “The Hidden One”, or the covered and occulted secret. Saturn is often times associated with the figures of Lucifer- the Light Bringer, or Satan (Saturn or Sun worship).

BELTANE IS BURNING
Beltane literally translates as “fire of Bel” or “bright fire”. Bel (Bile, Beli, Baal, Belinus) was known as the bright and shining one, such as the Persian/Roman accounts of Mithra and most other son gods. Bel son of EL, or Beli, is seen as the all father protector who is both the husband and son of the mother goddess. On Beltane Eve, which traditionally takes place between May 1st and 5th every year, heralding the return of spring and dating to times of antiquity, the ancient Druid priests would light two large ‘Bel Fires’ fueled from the nine sacred woods; Birch, Rowan, Willow, Hazel, Elder Alder, Fir, Poplar and Oak. The Bel Fire is an invocation to Bel (the Sun God EL), so that he might bestow blessings and good fortune upon the people and crops at harvest time. Herds of animals were ritually driven between two fires as a symbolic act of purification, luck and fertility. An old Gaelic adage of “ Eadar da theine Bhealltuinn” or “Between the two Beltane fires”, was a popular adage in the time of the Druids. The Bel Fire was seen as a sacred ritual of purification and cleansing, indicating the fruitfulness of the earth and the temporary conquering of the winter months. The home fires of the hearth would be extinguished before the event and rekindled with the rightous fire of Beltane, many of which were lit with human and animal sacrifice.
The “Maypole” was erected in honor of the occasion, and celebrations included frolicking along the country side in a very PAN like fashion, dancing around the Maypole, jumping over and running through fires, athletic competitions, feasting and wine, music, horse riding, flower collecting, ceremonial chants, human and animal sacrifices, sexual reenactments, orgies and finally more drinking. The symbol of flowers, mistletoe, birch and oak trees, running water, and the totem of the Maypole were customary in all Celtic Beltane ceremonies. The Maypole was generally around twelve-foot tall and was meant as an expression of sexual vitality, regeneration and fertility. This Druidic practice of worship was dedicated to the cycles of the natural world, and is most frequently recognized by the regenerative nature of ‘Jack of the Green’, or ‘The Green Man’.

Participants danced around the Maypole and surrounding fires in an ecstatic manner which could easily be compared to drug induced Shamanic states. There are many signs that the Celts, especially the Druid priests who oversaw the ceremonies 2500 years ago, did engage in the ingestion of psychoactive drugs and plants during the festivities, as well as a good deal of alcoholic libations which fueled the fires of Beltane.
May is the month of sensuality and sexual revitalization, the blossoming of new flowers, the pollinization of the birds and the bees, the reawakening of the earth and her children. It is the time when man was believed to have first been reacquainted with the vivid colors and vibrant scents of the world. The tingling summer breezes and the sweet melodies of the birds as the rapture of summer returned after the long and tedious winter. It is a time of extraordinary expression of the elemental forces, animals and the cosmic cycles, and to the Celts it was a time of great enchantment and celebration, as well as sexuality and blood sacrifice.
Beltane marks the royal wedding of the “Goddess and God”, in a precisely similar manner to the ancient festivities held to the Mesopotamian Inana and Dumuzi, or the Egyptian Isis and Horus, the Babylonian Ishtar and Tammuz. Beltane marks the reawakening in the fertility cycles of earth represented by the symbolic sexual union between the divine masculine and feminine entities. This period has always been considered as signifying a sacred union between the Great Mother and her Young Consort, the coupling bringing forth new life on earth. It is the age old tale of the goddess, who must annually travel to the underworld (Hades) to confront the great dragon, and release her lover from the imprisonment of death (the winter months). Through her heroic actions the realms of the natural world, or agricultural fertility, depends upon the outcome and confrontation of divine and subterranean forces. It is on the spiritual level sprouting forth from the divine masculine and feminine that first brought about a heightened level of understanding in our ancient religions, as well as the perceived prosperity of the crops and fertility of the villages. In other regards it is all about the relationship between the earth and the sun and moon as we travel our course through the cosmic cycles.
Beltane is the last among the three fertility festivals held in the spring time, the others are Imbolc and Ostara. This annual ceremony of nature is celebrated halfway between the Vernal (spring) equinox and the summer solstice. In ancient times this period marked the arrival of summer as we arrived at our closest point to the sun. During Beltane the Pleiades star cluster comes to view right before sunrise on the morning horizon, while winter (Samhain) begins as the Pleiades becomes visible at sunset. The Pleiades cluster is made up of seven stars, called the seven sisters, in the constellation of Taurus (the bull/Apis). Like its winter counterpart of Samhain (Halloween), Beltane is believed to be a mystical period which time ceases to exist and the veils between dimensions are at their thinnist blanket of concealment. This is the time when the worlds of the living and the dead were believed to merge and become one magical union of both.
Through the associations with such malignant and sacrificial gods as Bel, Baal and Dagon, as well as the Egyptian Osiris, Greek Kronos and Roman Saturn, the figure of Molech retains an incestuous relationship with the deities of Astoreth (Astarte/Aserah), Athena and Lilith. These can all be attributed to the ancient goddess of Venus, which we will cover in future articles.
