I know Nina, that's why I said the term would be gone. But the actions themselves, well, they would still be going on.

Action is considered a sin only if there is someone that would recognize it as such. And for the reason stated below, the Sin would be gone with Humanity

  You know my point. People always think the world would be the most peaceful place ever without humanity, but we are a part of nature. Granted, we have overstepped our boundaries and gotten greedy, affecting the world much more than we should be. But to completely wipe out man would have the same end result as the route we are taking, because we are a part of the balance that's supposed to be held.

Oh definitely, but good luck getting that to happen lol. That's why, if nature were to attempt to restore the balance, it wouldn't wipe out all humanity.

I feel fine if Humanity on the Earth will be wiped out and the thing named Sin will cease to exist on our planet. This is my response. A moderator, or Loki can remove my post if you find it pointless or find it that don't belongs here. Also you can say to me and i will remove my post in this topic.

The term sin would be gone, but what people consider sin still goes on in the animal kingdom. Animals kill each other (though not with guns), they have intercourse outside of marriage, they can be greedy, they can be lazy, they can envy, and they can get very angry and take action.

I reject the concept that the exctinction of mankind is required to eliminate "sin" - that is a religious point of view. Example: The Bible (Exodus 35:2 "Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day it shall be to you a holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever does work on it shall be put to death") states that anyone who works on the Sabbath is sinning and he should be executed. I didn't feel morally obligated to put a cap in the ass of the lady who sold me my newspaper this morning, however.  The only logical way that "sin" will cease to exist on our planet is when we as a species finally reject all religion and superstition.

Regarding the second point, I realise that it is tongue-in-cheek but it brings to mind something that we humans often fail to recognise: Humanity is the greatest life form on this planet. We can be flawed, but there is almost no flaw that is not also evidenced among the animal kingdom.  People underestimate and undervalue "the capacity of people" - human nature is not purely good and not all people can live up to their human potential without help. "The ultimate goal is human flourishing; making life better for all humans, and as the most conscious species, also promoting concern for the welfare of other sentient beings and the planet as a whole." We are great, humans are great - the changing global consciousness is possibly the spreading awareness of just how great we truly are. Religion and superstition don't make us better humans, less "sinful" humans - they are a yoke around our necks.

Yeah, but I wouldn't want all religion to be gone. People need something to hope for, something to believe in, I just think they need to respect the views of others. That and grow a conscience/listen to it lol.

Unfortunately, at least right now, most do. It sucks, but it's a way people deal. Like you said though, the laws of government and religion would need to change.

As an atheist I have greater hope for the future of mankind than religions preach.

If at the very least we could get people to feel the pain they inflict on others, emotional and physical, then maybe things could get better. But of course then there would be people that would enjoy that kind of thing, so yeah, it would have it's down side.

And don't forget Nina, I'm not a man of any religion.
