American PI:
An Interview W/ Gary Osborn

“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science.”-Albert Einstein

“There is great treasure there behind our skull and this is true about all of us. This little treasure has great, great powers, and I would say we only have learnt a very, very small part of what it can do.”
-Isaac Bashevis Singer

"Every writer is a frustrated actor who recites his lines in the hidden auditorium of his skull."
-Rod Serling

The dog days begin on July twenty-three, barking and biting at the cat up the tree. Scattered by frenzy brought together by glee, Sirius rising like the high tide of the sea. The belt of Orion, great Saturn’s rings, stand at attention towards the pillars of Heracles. The fire is burning, the potion is brewed, a planet keeps spinning beneath the full moon. The sun and the heavens doth mark claim to the time, as Chronos is turning the cauldron divine. Apples are falling in myth and in lore, as a worm keeps on squirming and rottens the core. Muses are singing nine melodies of verse, volcanoes erupting for the Greek gods of the hearth. Forging forms from the mire, reflections chiseled in stone, Mt. Olympus is ascending from the goddesses’ foam. Bubbles are rising, and bubbles they fall, beaconed to witness by the Siren’s haunting call. Dagon is waiting, and Marduk does stir, the Druids are building a wicker man to burn. A dragon is smiling, forked tongue licks the flames, the Frost Giants marching to witness the games. On Dasher, on Dancer, on Comet on Blitzen, a new year awaits us, the Vampire has bitten. The ones who seek claim over all that they see? The All-Seeing Eye of July twenty-three.
