Title: I don't know where else to put this...
Post by: Dark Lord M on August 22, 2006, 05:35:30 PM
...But I was wondering, if the Universe is infinite and it is filled with millions, billions of galaxies, what happens when they are all accounted for, what fills up the rest of the infinity of space?? I mean what is out there once we know everything about it? I hope that makes sense.

AS far as we can tell the universe is NOT infinite.  We are sort of an expanding bubble.  Most of the rest of space consists of just that...space.  There may be some stuff called dark matter  that we can't see but should be able to detect in other ways, like odd orbital paterns.  That is how binary stars were discovered.

Well there is more there than meets the eye. Even the captured Greys stated that their bodies were only capsuls holding them. I feel that the Universe is infinate because we are referring to "space"  But there are other "planes of exsistance". I don't feel that we, or our grandchildren will ever discover how to move through these planes, but I feel we will discover how to, before we discover how to do Inter Galaxian travel. It will be more benifitual to travel through These Planes of existane so normal Space Travel will be Mondane  :)zzz   I wish this had a spell checker . Sorry for the mispellings

The question was "is our universe infinite?"  and the answer is no.  That only begs the question what is outside of our universe?  Is it infinite?  and so on.  Now that is an interesting question you can apply all the metaphysics you wish.  As of right now we have no way of knowing what is beyond our universe's boundaries.   Although I'm intrigued by the minature universe experiment that DV posted on from Japan.   If it works, it will give us insight on how our universe behaves and shows that there is the possibility that there is existence out side this universe.

There was a small news piece on that here DV.  Your article was a bit more in depth though   :x  *mutters* lousy journalists

I think M means to say: There is no such thing as an infinite of possibilities. What happens when all of these infinities happen? What happens to the rest of space?

The answer is simple: READ AND RESPOND TO MY ARTICLE ON QUANTUM PHYSICS! http://monstrous.com/forum/index.php?topic=3500.0 (http://monstrous.com/forum/index.php?topic=3500.0)
