When I was five years old camping out in my families back yard in my sleeping bag I witnessed a very large what appeared to be a glowing with flame like lights glowing over a saucer shaped craft about half the width of our house about one hundred feet above the ground roaring and slowly flying north until it was too far to see. The craft had a metalic pinging sound and roared like a thundering low tone. The memories are still very vivid as I have never had seen anything like it the rest of my life. My oldest brother who was inside the house at the time later and still today remembers the exact same ufo in detail. The descriptions both compare but I was outside. This sighting was in 1967 during a warm spring. Has any one else has such an experience and at the time does any one have records of similar descriptions of such a craft in northern california near green valley? I live close to Travis base but I never thought of reporting it but both my brother and myself agree that it was nothing like anything we have ever seen.

Deep breath... I too had a simliar expereince or sighting. When I was in the fourth grade i lived up on top of a hill in a log cabin in Forest Grove, Oregon. I was sleeping with my mom one night whose bedroom window was right above the head of the bed. Before i fell asleep taht night, I was mezmorised by a star that was moving around in the sky. I thought it was a ufo, no star, and no sattelite could move in zig zag motions like that. I watched it til it left my veiw out the window. I took me a wqhile to fall asleep, but I did. In the middle of the night I woke up to a light in the room and told my mom to turn it off. I thought she had turned on the lamp for some reason. When i rolled over and tried to tap her no one was there. I sat up and called for her, but she didnt answer. i soon realized that the lamp was not on and taht the light was coming from outside. My throat is tightening and tears are welling up just thinking about this.
When I looked out the window, there was a light so bright, I could barely look at it. When my eyes adjusted a bit more I could see the outline of something. It was round and somewhat thin, but large. I could see it turning slighty and even the outline of some windows. It was hovering above the ground about 50 feet and probably about 100 feet from our house. I was so startled i began to cry and put the covers over my head. I needed to talk to someone so I tried to call my dad who lived in town. i found the phone on the stand near the bed and tried to dial his phone number under the blanket. I was so shakey taht I misdialed and a lady answered. She tried to comfort me at first wondering what was going on, but then she ended up laughing at me and hanging up. i dont remember exactly what happaned after that, btu i do reember looking out the window some time later and seeing the ufo down near the bottom of the hill hovering over a small farm. Then I saw a beam of light come from the ufo to the ground. I put my head bak under the covers and when i looked out again it was far off in the distance and i watched it til i could not longer see it anymore because of the windows width. I fell back asleep crying.
In the morning i went down stairs and there was my mom, cooking breakfast. i started crying and asked where were you? I had kicked her out of bed so she went down stairs to sleep on the sofa. i was hysterical for a while trying to tell her what happened. I'm not sure if she beleived me or not at that point, but later taht day when she was heading to work, she reached the bottom of the hill and noticed a silver, suacer shaped object in the sky zig zag back and fourth a couple times then disappear. she believed me then.
so taht was my experience and as you said, it is still very vivid in my memory and i know that i was not dreaming. I just watched the movie forgottewn and it rose a lot of feelings inside of me reminding me of this incident. that is how i stumbled upon this site. I now realize that I want to find out as much as possible about extraterrestrials. It excits me to think of other life that could be studying us, but it also fills me with a lot of anxiety and fear. It will be an interesting aspect of life to explore.

I was born in Saint Clair Shores Michigan and when i was a kid my family said I was a sleep walker. I would wake up in the middle of the night on our dock that went out 50 feet on the lake. How could I do that? In then I would be dizzy and I would tell my family and they said I was dreaming. However my grand father caught me one night * as he says floating like * as in not walking, he then called my name and shook me awake after 10 minutes and he said it took all his strength to stop me. He was 48 years old at that time so he was strong a man. To this day I wonder about all that. Plus near by neigbors say they saw me late at night wondering about with floating walking as they called it. explain this too me. :(
