Keep looking mon ami. There is a thread in I believe either Say It! or Idle that has some plush versions of the Lovecraft creatures. I've personally heard the name pronounced "Coo - Loo" & Cuh - thoo - loo". Hope that helps.

Thankyou, Another thing have you ever heard of the people who worship the necronomicon ( commonly known as necromancers ) ever go insane?

Personally, you must be a little crazy to delve into such things. Though in the case of this book, it isn't real. It is a work of complete fiction with lots of hype; think "Blair Witch Project".

And to correct you on one point, Necromancers are NOT people who worship the book 'Necronomicon'. "Necronomicon" means "Book of Names of the Dead". True Necromancers are not about the worship of this book. Now, to be true to my own beliefs, I suggest you do a little research and find out what a REAL Necromancer is, and is not.

I've played the RPG game Call of Cthulhu before.  It was interesting because of all the twisted beasties involved.  My human arse was pwned before it was over

All of HP Lovecraft's stuff is really good.
Check out these stories that are a part of the Cthulu mythos:

-At the Mountains of Madness
-Call of the Cthulu
-The Dunwitch Horror
-THe Thing on the Doorstep
And my personal favorite:
-THe Colour from Outer Space

Fun Reads All of them, rather disturbing too.

A pro po stuff that Lovecraft wrote... Necronomicon was not written by Lovecraft, but by Abdul Alhazred, also known as "Mad Arab", who was a scientist. The book as translated in 1487. by a dominican priest Olaus Wormius. On arab the book is called "Al Azif" which means the buzzing of insects in the desert, but also djinn howling.... sooo, it is possible that all other works are just a transcripts of older books...
