The link above has pictures and information on a couple of the recently discovered species.
One thing of note, the article described the Heteropoda maxima as having a legspan of up to 12 inches, the same length as the Goliath birdeater. If the Heteropoda maxima really is the largest spider in the world, it must really be a monster of a spider.

The viper was my favorite too.
Was I the only one that looked at the picture of the viper and mistaken the black circles for being its eyes? I was sitting here thinking, "What a weird looking snake," until I finally realized I was looking at it wrong. :laugh:

I did that too!! I was like O.o What the heck... but then I saw the eyes :doh: lol
The bat is cute, too. Hm... I like the froggy. Ribbit! :-D I wonder what else they will find there?

Yay! New viper! I love them. I'm getting my venomous reptile license but won't be keeping any of them. Just plain too fast & antivenin is super expensive.

Of course of viper is my favorite. :laugh: I'd love to have 1 as a pet. or maybe the foot long spider.

The Pink Dragon Milipede was my favorite. I don't know; something about the ability to shoot a lethal chemical at your enemies just makes it so much cooler, and definitely more than makes up for the less-than-manly coloration.

You got the less than manly right. Its a trap. If you see a bright pink worm with legs crawling towards you, you laugh. Then you laugh some more, then BAM!!! He gets you right in the eyes. (Sounds like I should write in conspiricies)
I like the spider. The giant one. But wheres the bulk. What is it eating that it doesnt need some meat on its bones?
