Either that or there's some starved Vamp running around Mexico, chewing on critters. 
Some freaky stuff happens in Mexico...I wouldn't be surprised. I mean, if they've got UFO cults, donkey shows, and psychotic peyote-smoking devil worshipper bandits, then vampires wouldn't surprise me in the least.
