Empty bodies and free thought
« on: October 01, 2009, 08:23:00 PM »
If you ever see a boy in his late teens sitting on the bus wearing a black hoodie, his eyes barely visible under the shadows of his hood, with an air of heavy metal coming from his earphones, chances are that's me. I might look like I'm sleeping, but no, I'm watching. Watching the world, thinking about how it works and have been doing so for as long as I can remember.

Today, I had this thought. I had already thought of it, many years ago, but I slowly dismissed it. Now I'm thinking about it and it might not be so foolish after all.

You know how the majority all act alike, follow the masses and do what they're told? I always thought the majority of people looked like thoughtless clones - robots - just doing what everybody expects of them. What if, just what if. What if they are, in fact, thoughtless?

When in public, it's fairly easy to spot someone with even a hint of free thought and note them in the crowd of obedient citizens. What if they're, we're, actually the only true free thinkers and most people are just... There? Just organic machines going about the cycle of life, guided by the free thinkers that have modeled that cycle to fit their purposes best? Kind of like... Soulless animals.

The thought came to me while I thought about reincarnation. When you die, do you immediately go to another body? If you do, it's like a series of scenes from different perspectives, telling the story of the universe. So what makes it possible that if we reincarnate all the time there are always more and more beings populating the universe?, I asked myself. Maybe because they're just bodies without a soul...

I might look like I'm sleeping, but no, I'm watching. Always watching.

PS: This fits well with virtual reality theories, with NPCs (Non Player Characters) as the theorists have come to know them, so I thought I'd put it in Conspiracies since I had no idea where else it could go...

Do not worry Kube, you are not the only one to have this though, trust me, the evidence of sheep mentality is all around us.  Look at models for example.  All young women (and some men) are shown these beautiful goddess and told that to be considered beautiful you must look and act exactly as they do.  So from youth they train themselves to be perfect little clones.  And that is just one example.  Public schools are another place to find the do as I say, don't you dare question me just be a nice little clone mentality.  Society wants us all to be "normal" because if we are "normal" then we will be easier to manipulate.  Why?  Because most "normal" people do not have the mind to question the motives of others.

Keep listening to the music Kube, and keep watching, because one day you are going to see your opportunity to "Rock the boat" and when you do I want you to rock it and rock it HARD.  Rock that baby so hard it tips and dumps everyone into that cold, cold ocean called reality.  Fight the good fight Kube, and wake those who attempt to drift through life in a daze up, consider it your good deed for the day.
In remembrance of Moonbaby, one of the brightest and most glorious stars to ever grace the Monstrous community.  Missed you will be, forgotten NEVER.

Sheep.... mindless drones.... That really does fit quite a lot of society. They don't think.. they just do. Do they even really have anything beneath that socially acceptable veneer? A thought under that shiny mane of hair? A real thought. Not just an "I have to pick one of my ump-teen kids up after soccer." or "I wonder if I should wear this nail polish or that one?"  How many people out there have a thought beyond one of those? More importantly... how many people out there have a thought beyond themselves....

Not many I presume... Most just repeat what they hear and do what they're told... Some would argue people like that don't think at all...

Were human beings, we used to live in packs, that's why most of us also pack together in closed environments (this was like this in ever, no one lived apart, except some ofcourse)
The reason we do this is because 'the group' has a large influence on how we act... It's a survival instinct...

Oh, a hint... If you're ever in trouble, like drowning, yell to someone by saying a specific thing of them. Example: Hey you, with the red jacket and brown pants, help me.
That way he'll come to aid you. If you yell: Help Help! Chances are noone is going to help you. They won't know what to do because the group is standing still.

Also, just sitting there and watching... Loads of metalhead do that here too, so basicly you're acting like a specific group there too ;)

Just do what you want, when you want and how you want to. But don't try to break the law... If you're being yourself and you want to be independent, you don't only need to swim upstream to society, but just be yourself at all times and don't let the surroundings effect your behavior...
If sitting and watching is who you are... By all means, keep doing so ;-)

You said metalhead. Metalheads cannot watch. Do you know why? Because of that term you used. It's a label; they're part of a group. Being part of a group is like religion, you see, it gives you feelings and feelings cloud your judgment. Therefore, they do not watch. Once you have feelings, you can say goodbye to watching objectively. Now, according to you, I belong to that group. Why? Because I mentioned metal. But if I were a metalhead, would I not hang out with metalheads? Why do you think I sit alone on the bus and watch like this? Because I've purposefully stepped back from groups. I've thrown away those useless instincts. I'm not saying this lightly; at first, it caused me more suffering than anything I've felt before. But it's freed me.

Now, if you respect the law, like you said, you cannot stop your surroundings from affecting you. To be bound by rules is to be enslaved by them and I have yet to find a free slave. Rules are meant to be broken. If you do all you're told, thinking about achieving complete freedom is useless. So if you don't break the law, you're abiding to those rules and enslaving yourself. That's another reason why I've abandoned those instincts. Yes, they are survival instincts. But what good is there in joining a group that will stop you from living freely?

The metalheads don't watch, Lex. If they were watching, they wouldn't attach themselves to a group. Do you think they all sit around and watch the world, think day after day, trying to find out what exactly is wrong with it? They're drone, like the rest, they don't care. They don't care if the world's farked, because they're happy the way it is, just like the rest.

I like to people watch at parks and stuff. It cracks me up.

Oooh shiney!

Yeah, they do that too. Just sit down in a busy place and watch, you'll soon see how farked up everything is, and then you just find it hilarious. Like the guy who made a face, and then moved over a couple of feet, what do you think he just did? Or the guy who just dropped a pickle from his sandwich, looked from side to side, then picked it back up. It's funny.

I don't bother to look from side to side if I drop food. I don't care who's watching me.. if I want to eat it, I'm gonna freaking eat it. Am I part of a group? I don't know. I'd like to say I'm not a sheep, that I have my own mind and such, but can I be put into a group??? I honestly don't know the answer to that...

Look man, you got it all wrong, I didn't call you a metalhead, I just said metalheads tend to do that as well, same goes for some goths.
