The shadow thing in my room
« on: June 21, 2010, 05:26:25 PM »
It all started when my family moved into this house six years ago. I started seeing things. I've always been able to see ghosts and things like that but never had it scare me so bad that I couldn't sleep or was afraid to stay in my own house. Let me explain things a little better. I see this shadow blob thing all the time..almost every day actually. Sometimes it's a blob, sometimes it's more defined and it kind of looks like a man. The first time I saw it was a few months after we had moved in. I was laying in bed with a table lamp on because I like to write at night. I looked over towards my door and saw something crouching there. At first I thought it was the way the light was hitting the objects in my room until it began to move. It was crouched over and getting closer to me. I was so afraid I couldn't move. I felt threatened by whatever this thing was. Finally I found the courage to get up and I decided to make a run for the door.  The shadow thing disappeared when I looked back. It just vanished like it was defeated or something.  I'll never forget how my heart was racing so fast I thought I was having a heart attack.  Paranormal things have been happening since then. Mostly in my room. Curtains floating and being ripped off the rod (I am in the basement so the windows are never open and there isn't a draft either), my closet door opening or hearing scratching noises coming from odd places, shadows appearing near my bed, feeling like someone is laying in bed with me (I actually felt something breathing on my neck one night). Even my cat freaks out when I bring him into my room and I'm sure this shadow thing that wants to scare me out of my room. The most recent encounter was during the day and the shadow thing appeared right near my window. It hovered there in the air for about a few seconds (seemed like hours to me) before disappearing. I don't know what to do anymore. I stay up all night fearing going to sleep now and I don't go to sleep until the sun comes up because I feel safe somehow when it is light even though the shadow thing has appeared during the day. Someone please help me. Is this a dangerous being that I need to have someone get rid of? Any information or help would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't say dangerous, no. It could be numerous kinds of spirits. The quickest most effective way to get rid of it is to burn some sage or myrhh and 'clean house'. It sounds pretty harmless actually. Also if it bothers you a lot just crank up the music and it will help. I have found spirits really don't like loud music and being ignored (not on purpose but music is effective to block out our other senses).
