Sincere thanks again Phantom, and don't worry, i think everybody thinks their voice is a little annoying when they hear it back in a recording.. But i hope we can somewhat unanimously agree that this show has some potential, and is worth continuing every few weeks or so.. I've got a friend or two who might get involved with some recording, and i hope that some more of the 'Monstrous Gang' will co-host as well.. (We really need more clips and music to play on the show..!!!)

And, hope nobody minds, but i've promoted it at a couple of other forums as such..

We are proud to be working with the forums at www.monstrous.com on a BRAND NEW bi-weekly/monthly radio production, MONSTROUS RADIO .. I will be the co-host of this program, and Cory will be getting involved (hopefully) in future episodes as well..

This first episode will serve as a proto-type of what this show can eventually become with a little bit of dedication and support. It will cover the wide range of cryptozoology, hauntings, sightings, ESP, mythology, conspiracy, as well as the topics of pop culture horror and sci-fi entertainment in the areas of movies, radio and literature!

So stay tuned for the developing situation of MONSTROUS RADIO, coming to you on a regular basis from www.monstrous.com !

You can find me as moderator Prezhorusin04 at the Monstrous forums..

I'd also like to give a special thanks to Anyeurysm as well as
http://www.book-of-thoth.com/forums.html for support with this project, and helping to get some podcasts going for future episodes...

I'm only half way through so I'll have more comments soon.  But for music and such I suppose I do have a request of sorts.  It's rather direct and borderline cliche but the chorus is nice.  Monsters by Matchbook Romance.

Make sure you're really as comitted as you sound in that advertisement.  And becareful of terms like biweekly/bimonthly.  Does that mean twice a week/month or once every two weeks/months.

Aditional comments comming.

Seeker, we can definitely play that song, but do you have any other links for it? It would be better to record as an audio link if possible, instead of video.. "Werewolves of London" would be another cool one to play sometime, and all the other suggested works..

Again, it will really need regular clip/song contributions, and i personally hope that people would want to get involved like that.. To send in songs and clips from horror movies, suggestions for more shows.. If people decide not to get involved with recording anything, it would be a GREAT HELP with donations for music, clips and ideas. Or just emails with personal accounts of sightings or stories that you would like to share..

There's a lot that could be done with a bi-weekly (every 2 weeks) show like this. So many different areas that could be covered and talked about, we'd never run out of material.... And we really should try to have a little fun with it, because that's what a 'production' like this should really be about.. Entertainment, information, and trying to have a good time with it..

At the same time, i'm not expecting anything on a HUGE level, nor to make any money or get much feedback.. We've been doing our 'Revolution Radio' show at Nwowatcher for almost 2 years now.. On average we have about 25 listeners a week, sometimes we might get 100 or so in a week, but not often.. Twenty-Five listeners a week is a modest amount to have, and just enough to make it worthwhile.. Of course, IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE MORE LISTENERS, but you can't make people listen, and you almost need an advertising campaign or something to get people to pay much attention........

Anyway, i see a lot of potential in an 'underground', independent show like this, and I hope some of you guys will agree and get involved in whatever way you decide to..

Or, if the concensus is to stop doing the show, I could understand that too.. Better to stop now than when we get 5 episodes into it or something, i guess....

I'm dedicated to at least 1 show a month, as well as contributions towards the second show (if we do it twice a month).. I'll also help promote and get the links out there where i can if we all decide to keep going with this....

And again, thanks to my friend Cory who posted this show for us, and included a couple of songs (haha Monster Mash) into the mix as well.... He might be doing some co-hosting for upcoming episodes should we continue forward with a Monstrous show (I'm not really sure how big a fan of horror movies he is though, but there's always something to talk about here)...

best wishes
mad

I'll see what I can do for some audio links of sorts.

Here's the rest of the critique.  Whether you want to follow them or not is completely up to you since these are just suggestions and stuff.

-good speaking pace
-good liability tag line in the beginning
-Early into the show there was a bit of a sound error or maybe you came too close to the mic.  It was at "...who can know it..."
-good idea of acknowledging the end of the article, it really keeps things organized
-The first discussion was a bit off.  It starts comparing gore and violence content and criticism from the Christian website.  You then counter that with Bible quotes and it somewhat ends.  The discussion needs to somehow connect to the original point.
-Naga is more commonly pronounced as "Nahg" so just with the last a silenced.
-Inbetween the Monster Mash and Monstrous Radio History segment, there's some sound error.  It picks up from a recording or goes completely quiet.
-When reading for different characters, be sure to change the voice somehow.  Make on lower/higher, slower/faster, accent, age, whatever.
-Be sure to thank the other sites first then mention Monstrous last.
-Monster Mash...yeah...there's a man with an ice pick trying to create an ironic death waiting for you.

All in all, congratulations because it was a great show.  I'd love to help out somehow.

Seeker, i'll take all your critiques into consideration, and glad you didn't hate the show.. As far as sound quality is concerned, that's a bit hard to deal with on my end. I'm recording on a digital 8 track recorder i purchased many years ago, and in the transfer from burning it to a disk, and uploading it again on the computer, it's sure to be off balance a bit in some parts. I try to adjust the levels as much as i can, but am working with some old equipment, speakers that hardly work, and it's about 90 degrees when i'm recording because the air conditioner is busted... :-P

"Anyeurysm" who has uploaded this for me, included a few more songs that would be on a different 'level' than what I have recorded on, so there is a loss of clarity and sound quality when the final product comes around.. We're just working with what technology we have available at the moment.. But i agree with you, sound quality, rise and fall, can be a real hassle sometimes.. It's hard to make everything even all the way through...

I see your points. I hoped that the first article would make sense in connection with Bible attrocities. Sometimes i need to emphasise my points more.. As for Naga, I've always pronounced them in this manner, as opposed to "Nahg", but i have heard both regularly used. (Sounds like Ninhursag) I'm glad you knew what i meant though with Naga. My pronunciations aren't always proper.... :|

As for the rest, thanks a lot for the comments, and i'll try to fix the problems.. PLEASE get involved in whatever way you want to.. If Loki and everyone else chooses to go ahead with it...

Don't worry too much about the pronunciation, they're everywhere!  I mean look at Laos, is the s pronounced or not?  Oh we crazy Asians...

And about making your points, just make sure you come back to it in your conclusion just to wrap things up.
