do you see them as they were when they died
or in the prime of their life?

I always see them in good health, relatively speaking.

They are drawn to me as well...often I dream of them.

When I first see them they appear as they did in death.

No I am not James and I have Terra, Dae, Vivid, And redeyes to confirm that cause I have told them who I was. plus I wouldnt abide by a were council. Even my council I dont, cause they said me hurting a guys tring to rape a girl was bad just cause I hurt the guy. I think I did right.

I can see them sometimes they are more blurry I guess is the appropriate term. Mainly I hear them and it freaks me out. I have learned how to ignore them and to live out my normal life. I do think its good to imbrace it but its just when I attrack other things besides ghosts that is the dangerous part. I just don't want to mess with it. I have bad experiences with ghosts and demons (well if that what they really are I sometimes can't really tell but when i researched it thats what it said it was). I haven't seen ghosts in a while though sometimes i hear them and just plug in my headphones because I don't have time in my life right now to have them bugging me. If I wanted to really experience it I would go ghost hunting with my buddies becuase they are professonals. I said I would someday with them but I am trying to find a more scientific explanation for it.

Hi - I am new - this sort of thing is kinda my area - altho I will never claim to be an expert - dont believe there is any such thing.

for someone that is new you seem pretty insightful ...

I have been a member of many forums for several years and you would be shocked at just how many self professed  "experts"  there are out there ...and since there is no recognized and accredited criteria to define such, as you have stated: there is no such thing ....

but yes many of us seem to have this ability yet prefer to suppress it as most of us that really do considered it a curse before it became a part of current pop culture.....b

I've been seeing spirits & ghosts for as long as I can remember. I learned to block out the ones that were near where I lived or places I visited often, like they became just part of the scenery. But once I moved for boarding school it came roaring back with a vengence. I'd agree with Rave, try learning how to protect or shield yourself from the images until you feel emotionally, mentally, & physically ready.

     To my regret I can not.  My wife and son have both witnessed strange phenomenon, both in my presence and when they are alone, but I as of yet have not.  They will however recount events that happen when I am actively looking for evidence, such as doors opening/closing behind me, objects floating when I look else where, faucets comming on by themselves, lights flickering on and off, ect...  I've long ago written it off as mischeviouse spirits that either   A. follow me and are harmless or   B. I just get lucky enough to find em where ever I go.  Again I have never seen spirits, but I do feel something (cool spots, being watched, a faint touch as I enter a room) but not yet seen anything.  I am waiting though for I feel my will is strong enough to both handle the experience and to attempt communication.

I see shadows, sometimes they take the form of something recognizable. They don't frighten me, and i'm working on when i see them not to look dircetly at them, cuz well they disappear.

And once you realize this they seem pretty powerless don't they? ....b

 I can still feel their power... but it in no way effects me. I can feel it pushing at me.. like wind. But for some reason, there's nothing they can do to me.
