Yeah, the video itself is a bunch of anti-mormon propaganda bull designed to try and scare people away from the mormon church. Only about one third of it is actually completely true.

I have one question, why the heck is almost everyone blond in this video? Are they trying to promote Aryan race stuff?

Other than that, it's quite a comical and sad video...

Oh god Amaya, you just had to do that, didn't you?
This is a pet peeve of mine...

Nordic and Aryan are entirely different things. TRUE Aryans were a tribe from the Caucausus who eventually migrated up into the rest of Europe, west into North Africa, south into Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India, and throughout Central Asia. They were a dark-skinned, dark-haired people that were known for being nomadic farmers, and eventually conquerors. The Persian Empire were their direct descendants.
The only reason the term "Aryan" is used to refer to fair-skinned, blonde-haired, and blue-eyed people is because Hitler was obsessed with a bunch of tinfoil hat-wearing UFO worshippers called the Thule Society, and most of his historical information came from those nutters.
As a visual example...

What the Hell, people? I mean come on, really, is everyone really that dense? I hate all forms of christianity, but I still prefer honesty. Now, with that out of the way... let the education and enlightenment commence....

This video is obviously an anti-mormon propaganda video. The mormon church has faced a lot of hatred and lashing out from communities over the time it's been around, and this video is just another example of that. The whole schtick with the blonde-haired, blue-eyed people is all about linking them in the minds of the viewer with the image of Nazi Germany and its war crimes, something the Kreep has already elucidated for you.

The whole thing about the other star... that part is true, they really teach that.

The part about god and all of his wives and sex and all... that part is exaggerated. At no time do mormons teach anything about god having sex with anyone. They teach that he has a wife, and "Heavenly Children", but that's as in depth as it goes, they let you figure out the logistics of it for yourself.

As for the part about blacks and their skin color being their punishment... that's a load of crap. The mormon church teaches the same thing about that that the rest do - it's an ongoing punishment for Cain slaying Abel.

In the live-action segment, these idiots claim that they were counseled to do things like divorce their wives because they disagreed with church teachings. Fact is, no bishop would do such a thing. The individual would be counseled, might receive the equivalent of remedial lessons to 'help them understand', would be instructed to pray about it, and a long list of other things. If anyone suggested divorce like this moron suggests, it was his wife.

Also, while I'm talking about this; there are TWO churches that claim to be Mormon. There is the original, which is the one that most folks know about, and then there is the cult-ish version that Warren Jeffs (Read here for an article about him: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_Jeffs and here for an article about the original, non-offshoot church: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Church_of_Jesus_Christ_of_Latter-day_Saints ) In no way do I advocate anyone ever joining either branch. This is just to set the record, and an old argument, straight for good.

Stop and think people. Some of us are starting to feel like the intellectual equivalent of the US Welfare System, and we can all see quite plainly how that helped the US.

Amaya

Sorry guys...It was partially meant to be a joke.

What humored me is not just what was said/implied,
but that this was just an exaggerated example of
of the back and forth disinformation
spread about the different
sects within Christianity.

but admittedly, the humor was of the dark kind, so pardon.

No problem, Amaya. We just happen to have some folks on this site who would take this video seriously, and take your comment even more seriously. The whole point of what Kreeps and I said was to stop the disinformation before it becomes rampant here. There is more than enough about mormonism, and christianity in general, that is ridiculous enough to put in a video like that. There's no need to make stuff up.

Amaya

Yeah...I'm not that good at being funny. Next time I should probably stick to my normal knowledgeable posts.

Moloch

Nah, just use the smileys since sarcasm and all that gets lost in the translation.
