Title: visualisation gone bad???
Post by: tubbs_333 on September 23, 2007, 06:41:42 AM
Hi all,

had a bit of a weird thing happen to me the other day when i was trying a visualisation. I was trying to visualise myself on a journey and that the path split in two and i would have to choose a path depending on what i prefered the look of, one path to the left was a mountainous path but looked like perfect weather and this is the path i was trying to head down. The disturbing part is the other path was a very dark wood with lightning and thunder and you couldnt see into the darkness beyond the first row of trees. It was also pulling me in when i looked at it, and even when i tried to ignore it and head down the mountain path there was something stopping me.

Is this a bad sign?   :| or could it just be caused by a head ache that id had earlier in the day?

I havent tried doing the visualisation since icase it appears again, i had to close down pretty hurridly as i did not want to head down the path where is was being pushed.

Can anybody shed some light on the matter?  :?

According to Christian dogma, the Left-Hand Path is the Path of the Devil, the Way into Darkness & Evil. According to even older traditions however, this is usually the path to spiritual enlightenment. It is difficult, sometimes lethally so, but the rewards are always great.

So, you may be seeing things as they truly are in your life, something may be trying to pull you in another direction, or both.

left hand/right hand paths are traditionally golden dawn, nothing christian at all.

oddly enough, i had someone relay a very similiar vision, but it was her asking to be guided by Gd on how to be a good christian.  She was presented with two paths, one was bright, smooth and had people singing and dancing as they celebrated their way down the road, the one that drew her was a dark, stormy, rocky mountain path through woods...she asked Gd why He'd want her to go that way; this is how it was presented to her.

The first path is the way of most of my children,  singing and dancing along, thinking it's easy to live their ordinary lives in an earthly way...but those who really want to understand; need to overcome their difficulties, face their fears with faith in Him as a guide, learning how to completely worship Him  or continue down in blissful ignorance, not stopping to ask Him, what He wants for us but assuming we're righteous already.

at certain points in our life, we're all presented with the choice of two ways our life can go...one is never easy, wrought with trials, tribulations and tests and the other always seems an easier way, but never really goes anywhere. Choose carefully, it's usually a life altering situation that's going to be dropped in your lap to decide upon, and if you choose the easy way, you may not end up where you need to be for the next path; finding a dead end on the other one; only your heart can let you know which to choose.
