Kill your leaders

As you may have noticed in the news, there are now troubles occuring almost everywhere in the world : Thailand, Hungaria, Taiwan, ..... The scheme is everywhere the same - whatever their race or beliefs, citizens of the world get tired of their corrupted leaders who spend lavishly and spoil our precious and limited resources.

Capitalism and money are to be blamed. Make no mistakes, our civilization is coming to an end, in the next 5 to 6 years, we are going to witness the fall of this unfair and insane system.  And guess who own all the money and power in this world ?

Zak Roy Yoballa:
The French?   *<:)  Just kidding.   Through out history the story has been the same.   Every so often a group of people stand up and put a stop to it.  This lasts on average 200 years and then the descedants of the overthrowers are just a corrupt as the ones who were overthrown.  Then the cycle repeats.  Take the US and France,  around the same time they revolted and even aided one another from an unfair government system.  Now, about 200 years in the future we are just as bad as England was then.  America's government has gone from having "Statesmen" to "Politicians".  Which is similar to DV's explaination of Christians VS Churchians.

While I understand that capitalism isn't the best answer, none of the other systems are any better.   In fact some types, like communism, are worse for the common working stiff (me!).  Under capitalism there is a hope of advancement, no matter how small.  If one works hard enough and is determined they can inprove their lot in life.  I am an example (not to blow my own horn).  I was one of the first to graduate college (my younger sister was the first) and have worked my way up at the factory to a Staff level position.  I will have 11 years in Oct 2nd and have moved up because I have worked hard and didn't take no for an answer.

The bottom line is that humans are driven by their sinful natures and even if we overthrow a government every couple of centuries we will be right back into the same situation before too long.   Until Christ comes back that is....

The only advice I would give is Mark 6:25-34

Do Not Worry
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?    26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?     27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.    29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.      30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?     31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.      33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.     34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I give up, who?

I think your answer is entirely too pat; just capitalism and money are to blame? Not human nature? Not greed? You don't need money in existence for their to be greed. What about lust for power? Communism produced dictators as well, let's not forget. Assuming one believes the outlandish prediction that the entire world will come apart at the seams in less than a decade, what do you see as taking the place of a monetary system and a capitalistic market?

Hey, didn't I see you on a street corner in Manhattan with a "The end is near" sign?

Honestly, every generation has gone through their phase of worrying the world is about to take a turn for the worse.  I have enough faith in humanity that we will get through these tough times and see a bright future ahead of us.

Capitalism is not the problem as far as I am concerned.  What is the alternative?  Communism?  Socialism?  Fascism?  Anarchism?  In all these systems the many will be controlled by an elite few.  Capitalism at least gives me the opportunity and the drive to make something of myself.

Loki if you truly are concerned about the worlds future and the capitalist system, what is your solution?

oh and I am very curious as to what will happen on December 22nd of the year 2012.  Were the ancient Mayans really on to something when they marked this date as time of "rebirth" for the human race?

Zak Roy Yoballa:
If the mayans were so smart, why didn't they have toilet paper?   *<:)

They also thought human sacrifices would appease false gods....

I'm not banking anything on Dec 22 2012
