Shadow self!?
« on: July 28, 2010, 01:24:15 AM »
Heya everybody i just thought i might stimulate some good ole voodoo discussion especially about the soul most voodouisants beleive the sole has three parts the gros bon ange the ti bon ange and the shadow the gros bon ange or big angel is the part of a person which resides in god, the ti bon ange or little angel  is a sort of messenger accomaning spirit guardian angel/genius. and the shadow is never discussed in depth but referred to as the twin of the physical self. However many voodooists beleive that ones shadow can be taken or tortured to accomplish ones goals of inflicting maledictions upon a person. How do you guys think this is possible??? and with that in mind what regards do are shadows have to us in the first place what is there intrinsic spiritual meaning and presence?

I also apologize for some of this bad grammer im cutting and copying this from word using a dictation program but my tooth hurts lol and i talk as if my tongue is dubstepping.

the oceans call to you, the earthen fated tune,
I am the ivy binding tight i hold the spells all through the night, i am
nightshade's fated swoon of deaths kiss and witches broom

Im not to sure how to answer that. I guess the best way is to say that ones shadow is an extension of ones self even though it is created by light it is the exact replica of you. so i guess, and im just pullin this out my behind, that just like voodoo dolls created in the image of the person to be tortured ones shadow would be even better because it is a part of us and a better image of us.

that sounds really plausible to the point of near fact, but what do you think about the supposed off putting of all of a persons negative traits and neglected habits on the shadow serves to mean, you know making your shadow sort of your anti-thesis or mr.hyde persona?

I mean that is very plausible, i really dont know. i guess having a shadow that happens to be a negative version of you (mr. hyde) would attract things of this nature or so it would seem. you may be on to something
