its a pretty acurate although goblins themselves are considered fey there more along the lines of a psychotic brownie with limited magical capabilities.

Hmmm, what's a brownie? I know they like to live in houses with people, and love it if you leave them gifts like pans of fresh milk, but that's all. :?

Brownies are small usually nude or scadly clothed earth fairys that can serve as an attendant to a home famil or person performing chores and notifying there master kind of like a familiar although have a weird social system in witch gifts and payments are considered grave insults and have some reverse magical connotations

You're both wrong. The name "brownie" for the spirits comes from the English pronunciation of the Gaelic word "brùnaidh".
The brownie dessert is named because of the color.

Simple as that.
