If you don't understand or want to understand basic quantum physics, I reccomend that you leave now or your head might blow up, like in Non Sequitur. Anyway...
This topic is going to use quantum physics and some simple logic to prove that the planes exist, thus you can rub it in the faces of some of your non-believing friends.
Since the end of the nineteenth century physics - the laws of the cosmos - has been undergoing revolution after revolution. All that is completely clear about the universe now is that the universe is not more complicated than we imagine, but it is more complicated than we CAN imagine. This particular part of physics is called quantum theory. One principle of quantum theory was made by a physicist, Werner Heisenburg, called the Uncertainty Principle. It stated that it is impossible to tell both the position and momentum of a subatomic particle without changing one of the two. Therfore, observation of the particle changes the very phenomena of the particle. This "observation effect" predicts we shape the fate of the universe just by being here on Earth.
To continue, you must undersand an experiment devolped by Erwin Shroedinger called "Schroedinger's Cat" that is more of a thought experiment than a material one. Suppose you were to put a cat in a sealed box from every element (I suppose this cat can live without breathing, eating, etc. ^.^) With the cat is a sealed vial of prussic acid, designed to be broken if and only some random event, say, the decay of a radioactive particle with a half-life of one hour, occurs.
Our cat has a 50-50 chance of surviving the hour. When the experimenter opens the box exactly 60 minutes later, will he find a live cat or a dead one? more to the point, is the cat alive or dead before the box is opened?
According to quantum physics, the cat is both alive AND dead until the "observer effect" comes into play. But, when there is this given 50-50 chance occurs, TWO different universes are spawned, one where the cat is alive and one where it is dead. Therefore, whenever a quantum event occurs, a new universe is spawned to accomodate that change!
Since the universe is endless, there is an infinite amount of quantum events happening at once. Therefore, an infinite amount of paralell universes have been made. Perhaps a few of these universes have overlapped over time and create the astral planes that we know of!
