Battle: Los Angeles is an upcoming (March?) sci fi movie directed by Jonathan Liebesman (The Killing Room), written by Christopher Bertolini and starring Michelle Rodriguez (Avatar) and Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight). Inspired by the "Battle of Los Angeles incident" in which unidentified flying objects seen over Southern California in 1942 led to the 7th Coast Artillery Brigade firing shells into the sky at the reported aircrafts, the story follows a Marine platoon that faces off against an alien invasion in present day Los Angeles.
