I really dont know. Perhaps, if something were to go wrong, it could lead to terrible mental problems.

I would recommend trying meditation and focussing on what you want to be able to do. I've gotten pretty good results just with visualizations (you imagine yourself doing perfectly and hold on to the image as long as possible, until you believe it and it becomes true. Works with just about anything). Seems just too darn easy until you actually try it.

As to dangers, I don't see how there would be any with this method as long as your goals are positive in nature.

Aye, there could be some serious problems if that was done wrong. But I was just talking about meditation. For things that one's not so good at but would like to be, it works very well.

For some reason I am having trouble surfing this site, I try to read what is written on page two. I keep hitting links and being redirected unto the monstrous index. That said. Even if you do reprogramme youself which is well within a persons ability there is depending on how drastic the change is going to be side effects, which will have to be dealt with as time goes by. It is kind of like when people repress things the convince thmesleves the emotions aren't there or just refure outright to release them until the right mental trigger comes along and kabam. Not that I think it will be that drastic but the side effects are a possible outcome.

Back on topic, it is very possible to program yourself for a single action simply by repitition of a certain task.  It's a matter of practice and making something unnatural seem natural.  However, a full scale personality overhaul is fairly impossible do in one shot due to the nature of the brain's specific chemical makeup and the connections that already exist in it.  I'd think it would be possible to perhaps create a persona over the original (for those of you familiar with MPD or DID), but actually changing the very makeup of yourself all at once seems rather impossible without surgery and special stimulation to the brain.  The only "spell" that might help with this would be conditioning and controlling your way of thought through something like meditation to believe you are a different person.  That kind of illusion can be difficult to hold, but in theory if you could do it you would have the new personality you wanted.  Of course, this still wouldn't be the original "you" so to speak.

In any case, that's enough rambling from me.  Overall, it sounds like a very bad and dangerous idea.  The best policy is to work towards things slowly and educate yourself as you do so.  People change over time, and if you're careful you'll probably turn out like something you want to be.
