From Variety:

Columbia Pictures and Neal Moritz's Original Pictures have tapped scribe duo Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan to take a new crack at a remake of "The Tingler," a Vincent Price 1959 frightener about a mad scientist who can scare people to death.

Duo sparked their career when their script "Feast" was produced by Dimension on reality skein "Project Greenlight." Since then, they've sold two more scripts to the shingle, including "Midnight Man" and "The Neighbor."

In the original "Tingler," Price's character discovers a creature that attacks people from inside when they are afraid.

Col and Moritz first took a stab at a remake in 2003 when it hired Greg Pace to pen a refreshed script. But project stalled and was inactive before the new scribes were brought on board.

Quest

I remember the original Tingler.  I'm a big fan of Vincent Price so it's hard to see them doing a remake, buy you never know.  This could turn out to be a good film if they don't mess it up.

Another one?
I'm sorry, I'm a huge Vincent Price buff (I have all his movies) but the original wasn't terribly good as a movie.  The only thing that makes it stand out was the whole gag with the shocking seats etc.
If they remake that whole effect then I will got to see it, otherwise .........
